Shalimar Beach Resort

"We stayed at the Shalimar for 6 nights to celebrate our 20th anniversary and stayed in one of the hotel rooms (not a villa, so this review is for the Seahorse part of Shalimar). Everything was super clean, and it was nice to have dishes and cookware. The pool was well-maintained and the access to the beach was amazing! We ventured to different beaches while we were there and preferred the Shalimar access the most. Sea turtle nests nearby were awesome. Staff was very friendly. Things to note for new visitors- beach towels, umbrellas, bikes, etc are available to rent. There is no room service unless you’re there an extended amount of time (don’t quote me but I believe 7-8 night stay). You can exchange linens in the office from 8-1. Keep an eye on your toilet paper also as this is your window. There is some drinks available for purchase in the office when it’s open, so plan on having your own food and beverages (no restaurant on site). We would definitely return in the future! Shalimar was very relaxing, clean, and friendly staff! Thank you for a good experience!"

"Nothing we didn't like. Room was clean and well maintained. Bathroom and kitchenette were both very nice. A 2-3 minute walk from our room to our lounge chairs on the beach. Beautiful water and sand. Pool also very nice even though it was pretty warm most days. But that's to be expected in August in Florida. Poolside tiki bar had cool bartenders and a nice happy hour. Highly recommend."
