Shalimar Beach Resort

"The Good: this place was remodeled in 2025 and everything is new looking and the rooms are beautiful. There are free to use laundry machines, free to use beach chairs and you can get free coffee pods for the Keurig machine in your room. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioner is super quiet. Nice and close to the beach. The Bad: this is a noseeum hell! These nasty little bugs are everywhere. The rooms have screens for the outside sitting area but the noseeums can get through the screens. We bought the bug spray they sell at the office and it could not keep them away. Also, you have to pay to rent a beach towel which is $5 a day. They have beach cruiser bikes, but you have to pay $20 per day to rent them. The swimming pool is nice but the noseeums make it unuseable. There's a place on the roof to watch the sunset, but the noseeums make it unuseable. Bring strong bug spray if you come here!"

"The property is very clean and neat. The thought put in to the details made our trip easy. The access to bicycles, laundry and beach equipment made our week smooth. The cottages were clean, so aesthetically pleasing and well thought out. We would definitely recommend this stay."

"Makes you feel at home. Impeccably kept. Joe and Maureen give attention to details and think of guest convenience and hospitality. Excellent location. Steps from beach and little stores. Sanibel is gorgeous and chill, and so is Tarpon Tales Inn."
Seahorse Cottages on Sanibel - Adults Only

"Our cottage was great! It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have porch areas out front and back and it was an easy walk to the beach and restaurant/ice cream shop. It was also nice to have the small pool to cool off in. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Sanibel!"
