The lougues were great. The views are breathtaking. Staff is friendly. BUT the room struggles to maintain temperature. It went from boiling, like pools of sweat, to freezing. I didn't use a blanket most of the night, just a sheet for when it would get cold. I wanted to open the window but there was no screen and I didn't want bugs in the room.

The staff proved gracious and attentive, though registering my Amex for incidentals presented a brief snag. Meals at The Gulch Pub were generous and reasonably priced—most of the dinner shone, save for the overly dry chicken—while breakfast at Swen earned high marks, especially the superb huevos rancheros. We look forward to indulging in spa services and have already savored a brisk ascent up the mountain.
