"A perfect hotel for a peaceful stay in Iceland. I picked this hotel for my wife and I to enjoy 4 days away in Iceland. I chose it especially for it being in Keflavik on the coast, out of the way and for that privacy and tranquility and it was exactly that. It was only 7 minutes away from the airport and a 45 min drive into Reykjavik which is exactly what we wanted and only 25 mins away from the Blue Lagoon. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly, helpful and caring. The food in the hotel’s Fiskbarinn restaurant was stunning! Food is expensive everywhere in Iceland but here you get the quality you don’t mind splashing out on and similar to what you would spend on dinner anywhere else any way. The set breakfast was also absolutely outstanding and fresh. The room was fantastic with a large bathroom and beautiful scenery of the coast outside our window was perfect. Relaxing by the fire and the private rooftop pool were also really wonderful. Thank you Hotel Berg for being fantastic! "
"This is one of the best cabin homestays I’ve experienced. It’s not far from the airport or the city centre, yet the area is incredibly quiet and peaceful. I took a morning walk and it was fantastic—the fresh air and calm surroundings were truly refreshing and mindful.
The cabin is fully equipped, and the highlight for me was the night-time outdoor spa tub. It made the stay feel unique and extra enjoyable.
One suggestion: bring some snacks or drinks for late at night, as nearby shops close quite early.
Overall, I highly recommend this place to everyone."
"It is Hard to find positive things to mention about my stay.
Room was not very clean (dust everywhere, dirty walls and corners), threadbare linens, and bathroom that smells like the harbor that the property is located in. And to top it off, we awoke with several bug bites that I will not mention what I think the source is.... But they were not present before sleeping at hotel duus. "

"We stayed in this hotel for 2 days because of the weather and its closer to the airport. The TV not working and the staff was trying to move us in a smaller room that was totally different from the price we paid. The staff is not friendly."
"
Check-in was smooth, easy, and felt genuinely personal from the moment we arrived.
This is a small, charming hotel—perfect for our final night. We were looking for something that captured the spirit of our time in Iceland, and its location near the coast and close to a landmark made it feel especially meaningful.
The room had everything we needed for a comfortable and restful stay—simple, thoughtful, and just right after a full day of exploring.
The highlight of our visit was dinner at their restaurant, Eos Table. The setting is casual, but the flavors are anything but. Every dish felt elevated and intentional, and the service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and personalized throughout the evening.
We started with the fried camembert appetizer, which was a standout, and then enjoyed the fish and chips and fish tacos. The fish and chips were perfectly executed—light, crisp batter with just the right amount of crunch, allowing the freshness of the fish to truly shine. (You know how sometimes the batter overpowers the fish? Not the case here at all.)
We were too full for dessert, but ended the meal with lattes that were just as impressive. My husband ordered a mocha latte, and you could immediately tell it was made with real chocolate—no artificial syrups, just rich, authentic flavor.
The décor throughout the hotel was cozy and thoughtfully done, with touches that felt distinctly Icelandic and inviting.
We truly loved our stay and would absolutely return.

"Great spot and cabin.
FYI - I thought that the kitchen and fridge was in the cabin but it’s in a separate community cabin.
Enjoyed my stay and would come back. "
