The resort was so beautiful and well kept. We loved the small size of the property and the chef was truly world class. There is a dive shop on the pier that was so helpful and well kept chartered a day snorkeling trip that was so memorable. You truly can’t go wrong staying here.

Our room was lovely and clean. We enjoyed our salt scrub and massage on the beach while listening to the waves and the breeze in the Palm Trees. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent food at the on site restaurant. Note of concern was the pool looked a little cloudy. We did appreciate all the work that was being done to clear the beach of the sea grass.

Everything what we wanted to do, we did and enjoyed. Bikes were available at no cost, we enjoyed to be able to bike to other resorts. Every day you had the choice for dinner outside or inside. The location is great, away from the busy San Pedro town, Golf Cart City. Nothing the people in the resort, do all to make your stay perfect.
Also beautiful at night.

This resort was absolutely beautiful, the staff made it even better. Rosita was our favorite!! So welcoming and fun. Staff were always cleaning and always very friendly. Sunrise steps outside your door on the beach or pier was my favorite part!! Breakfast and coffee in the morning was wonderful. Have plenty of wonderful things to say about this place. It was nice that it was away from the noise of the city but it was a very bumpy long ride to and from, you definitely need a golf cart to get around. 20 minutes from secret beach was a plus since there’s a lot of sargasm on this side of the island. Only thing I would suggest would be to add some hooks in the rooms to hang things to dry.

This is our second time at Portofino, and it was excellent. Far enough away from the city to be quiet and peaceful. Close enough to get to great restaurants and bars. The staff is friendly and readily available at all times. Accommodations are clean and quaint. Their dive shop has everything you would want to do to experience the sea life and pristine waters. I recommend a dive or snorkeling adventure with Kris. The fresh coconuts with rum just down the road from Steve and Angel and Roddie’s cocktails at the bar. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Aside from the sargassum, which the workers removed everday, this place was great! Pool, food, staff, weather, and not being in dt San Pedro. Set up a snorkel, dive, or fishing w Kris and Emil on the property's private dock.

We loved our VIP suite. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We only had 1 issue was with the A/C, and it was resolved ASAP. We had air by afternoon. The staff was super from the shuttle service, reception, and wait staff to the maintenance, it was all fantastic. The only complaint was on the island itself. The roads were terrible and they need to be maintained.

Wow, the staff here really go above and beyond to take care of you and make sure you feel pampered.The grounds were beautiful and relaxing, the cabanas were absolutely stunning...rustic vibes but super well kept and premium feeling. The restaurant on site puts out some seriously tasty food. Only drawback is that the property is about 30 min out from San Pedro, so you will need a cart if you want to leave the hotel at all. This property also has it's own dive shop on their pier which is super convenient for booking reef excursions, just be aware that they book up fast and well in advance during the busier months. Loved it here, will most definitely be back!
