It’s an older hotel but the room was very clean and well equipped in kitchen. Pool was too hot for swimming but the beach is right behind. Staff were excellent and accommodating. There is a restaurant right behind the building on the ocean, good food and you get a discount as a guest. Lots of restaurants, shops and bus within walking distance. We would stay again.

Was disappointed with how Expedia said it was a one bed room and I wasn’t able to cancel I was charged to much for something that wasn’t what it said it was.

Excellent Hotel! The staff are helpful and friendly, very quick to respond to requests. Only thing I didn’t like was the over-use of plastic. Towels wrapped in plastic?

Sylvia went over & beyound to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The remaing staff at the front desk & the service staff were amazing. Love the pool & the closeness to the beach. The restaurant was good too. Highly recommend this hotel.

We were very happy with the friendly staff who lent us a microwave, a toaster, and a hairdryer for the duration of our two week stay, and cleaned our room with fresh towels and sheets. We would have appreciated a bedside lamp, since the room was rather dark, with the drapes drawn on the window, which faced the street, and only a single overhead light. Only one overhead light in the kitchen, also. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, frying pans, pots, and cutlery. All in all, we were very pleased!

Could really use a microwave and coffee maker in the kitchen. Also surprised there was no soap provided in the bathroom. And we were not allowed to take towels to the beach. The kitchen is not well equipped.

This was a really great stay for the cost! Room was clean and spacious. Staff was extremely welcoming. Free parking was a plus. And the pool was nice to have! Our only real complaint was that the wifi didn’t work (or maybe didn’t reach our room?) so it was impossible to work at all. Just something worth knowing if you work remotely.

Great small hotel in the heart of PV. Can walk to everything. Rooms are newer and clean. Rooftop was great for watching sunset. Secure parking was limited but a good addition.

WE ARE VERY SORRY I KNOW IT IS NO EXCUSE BUT THAT WEEK THE WHOLE HOTEL WAS FUMIGATED LIKE EVERY MONTH SINCE WE HAVE A FUMIGATION CONTROL AND THE PRODUCT LASTS FOR SEVERAL DAYS TAKING EFFECT, I'M VERY SORRY THAT IT CAME OUT IN YOUR ROOM BUT WE DO IT PRECISELY TO AVOID ITS SPREAD. WE HOPE THIS EVENT DOES NOT PREVENT YOU FROM RETURNING TO VISIT US AGAIN.

Excellent location, close to everything. Rooms are basic, but clean. Housekeeping is great. Music each afternoon in the beach restaurant. Sylvia at the front desk is a lovely person and speaks excellent English. Jorge, the boss, is very nice and accommodating. You can tell he treats his staff well because they all work hard to make things work smoothly. Already booked again for next year.

This was the first time my husband and I had been to Melaque and we had no idea where to stay. We were so happy with Las Hamacas. Sylvia was so helpful when we first arrived. She spoke very good English which was great for us. The property is beautiful, right on the beach. The pool area was lovely and was a great place to meet other people. The staff is always cleaning, sweeping, emptying garbage, etc. It was one of the best maintained properties that we saw. Our unit was large with a huge kitchen/sitting area. And the bedroom, too, was huge, with 2 double/queen beds. The only complaint, but it’s not a complaint about the hotel, is that our bedroom was on the street side. It was never very noisy at night, but the traffic and trucks and buses start their day early around 5:30. We’re early risers, often heading to the beach to watch the sun rise, so it didn’t affect us very much. We would HIGHLY recommend Bungalows Las Hamacas.

Cute little hotel on the main strip of Melaque and right on the beach. Lovely and helpful staff. The room was spotless. Lots of lovely sitting areas, a nice pool and a restaurant/bar. However, it was filled with too many drunk snowbirds (one even started at 8:30 in the morning). The noise really carried and it was difficult to sleep. Adding to that was the large family group who was in the room above us on the weekend and the all traffic noises from the road.

The hotel was fine The pub was not so good they seemed to forget about the hotel customers when the locals came and the billing had to be watched very carefully So we moved our business next door they were great All in all I guess it was okay stay

The hotel was clean both in the room when we arrived and in the common areas. The pool is fun and large enough for many groups to enjoy at once. The hotel’s location on the beach was very convenient as well as being close to the square. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, although I would have liked to see more options for people who don’t like seafood. To top it all off the receptionist spoke English which made checking in much smoother. Overall Las Hamacas was a lovely hotel, I would stay there again.

Melaque is awesome. We especially like the music. Everyday in some restaurant or bar free music is playing. This is good music not karaoke. Professional musicians playing solo or getting together in jam sessions

The kitchenette was nice. Wish they would include microwaves in the room. But the staff is very nice in heating up the food for you. We were literally one minute from the beach which makes this place worth it. Staff was friendly and very accommodating to our family. Would definitely consider staying here on our next vacation.
