"Hotel is up an amazingly steep mountain with multiple hairpin bends, not for the faint hearted but amazing drive for our Porsche. Hotel son and daughter very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean but basic, towels very old.
We struggled with the fixed menu food offering and there is really no where else so you have no choice. Breakfast is very much cake and meats and quite limited. However for the experience of being at the top of a mountain with only cows with bells, it

"Great location for exploring. Busy in August during the day but lovely to be in Limone when the ferries stop and it’s quieter.

"Amazing stay at Hotel Villa Dirce. Fantastic place, fabulous views over the lake and great staff. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived right to the end. Nothing was too much trouble. Such a nice place to spend a week with the family. Easy walk into Limone and boats to other areas on the Lake. Would 100% recommend!"

I was particularly impressed by their attention to detail, the entire staff knew every guest by name and room number. I have never felt so safe and secure in a hotel like I did at hotel Vega. And on a sidenote, the breakfast was phenomenal. Give them 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ "

"We stayed in the lovely two bedroom apartment belonging to the hotel with our two daughters. Clean, well appointed and perfect location (just across the road from the hotel).
Staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. I can’t praise them enough.
Limited parking out front but again staff went out of there way and managed to squeeze my car in.
Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choice.

"For a 3 star hotel, this is top tier. Everything you need, closest to the lake you'll get and the bed has so far been the best during my Italy trip. It is a bit dated, but that's expected and acceptable. The price is moreso the luxury of proximity than facilities. The breakfast was as good as a 5 star hotel. Would go here again if in Malcesine."
