"Was very happy, pleased, and satisfied with my stay at the best Western Royal Oak in San Luis Obispo, California. The room was spacious and comfortable and cozy. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Great staff awesome service kind and very happy people would definitely stay there over and over again. The accommodation was amazing. My only critique that I would make is the toilet in our bathroom was a little too short. I’m a taller guy, if they could just raise the toilet a few inches that would be great but the cleanliness the hospitality and the friendliness was fantastic. "

"Excellent location. Very lovely grounds, which connect to a paved path that winds along the strip of hotels along the cliff overlooking the beach and the vast Pacific. Dining options are a short drive away. Staff are very helpful. We didn’t try the pool and hot tub, but they appeared very inviting in better weather. The room was nicely appointed and the bed very comfortable. The only item less than 5 stars is the property condition, which is a bit dated, having been built in the 1970’s. The property overall doesn’t need work, but a room-by-room updating would be in order. For the room we stayed in, the electrical outlets could be moved to be adjacent to the furniture and eliminate the unsightly power cords. The sofa’s woodwork is a bit worn, and could be replaced with a more comfortable one (rolled arms rather than wood frame). Overall, though, a very nice experience and very good value. "
