La Playita is a charming old hotel right on the water. The staff are warm, helpful, and make you feel welcome. Our.room was large and comfortable, looking directly over the water. The central courtyard is full of beautiful plants and has its own coquí. Would definitely recommend.

Best thing was cleanliness and great, walkable location. It was right next to a long, beautiful beach (just outside the front door), and a short walk to many great restaurants. We loved the short walk to El San Juan Hotel with its dramatic, historic cabaret for authentic, classic salsa bands and singers nightly with dance floor. Continental breakfast was meager and identical all five mornings we stayed there (fruit, cereal, cookies, and tiny ham and cheese sandwiches on Hawaiian bread), but the coffee was good. The entire place was tired and sorely needed cosmetics work everywhere. There was no pool. But it was still a nice, family-run small property, fairly expensive for the value.

The room was smaller than in the pictures the restaurant in the back amazing, Mary the housekeeping was incredible the only downfall is the parking that it’s limited as they only had 5 for all the guest. Other than that it was okay.

We loved staying at the playita. Great quiet place very clean and close to a lot of restaurants and 2 steps down to the beach. The cafecito in the morning was my favorite thing every morning. We love chatting with Mary and playing with coco and arena, the 2 dogs in the hotel. We will be back!

This was a nice, minimalist hotel for our stay. More of a boutique hotel. Just steps from the beach, with some cute pups and kitties on the grounds. The restaurant was ok, not our favorite of the trip, but not bad. Relatively quiet, but if you're sensitive to the sounds of other guests outside your window, then bring earplugs.
