This was a great hotel for our stay in San Jose. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help. Check in was smooth and efficient, our room was fine, and we enjoyed using the pool (although it is cold) and the onsite restaurant.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was lovely and the bathroom was modern and very clean. A huge thanks to the staff, they were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Since we had a very early flight, we were so happy and impressed that the hotel provided a breakfast package for us to take to the airport. It was a top-tier service! Highly recommended!"

Satisfactory hotel in a convenient location. Pretty pool area with restaurant next door including poolside tables. Food was very good and varied. I asked for a room with a pool view and I got it. However it was not totally vlean- there were dust balls and hair in the corners. The tiles were cracked too in both bathroom and bedroom

We liked the room/suite for its beds and bathroom but some seats would have been a nice addition as would a small refrigerator. The bar staff could have been a little friendlier. The restaurant was mostly open air. We froze at breakfast. We wore coats one night for dinner. But the food was good.

This is a great local hotel. Very clean, nicely decorated, and the staff are helpful and courteous. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was delicious. We liked this hotel much more than the American chain hotels we have stayed at in San Jose.

I traveled to San José for three nights on business. I looked for a good hotel near where I would be holding my meetings. Among the options, I found this hotel, which seemed fine. When I stayed there, I found a hotel with remodeled rooms, simple but new, as were the mattresses, towels, etc. The service was very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious.

Property itself if very nice - fresh, light, airy, organized around a charming swimming pool; restaurants pleasant, food quite tasty and reliable. Only drawback - in the middle of a semi deserted area of abandoned apartment buildings, commercial buildings. Safe enough during the day - just slightly depressing and no place to walk

Hotel Autentico was fine, The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was very noisy and I asked to be moved which was taken care of nicely. The hotel is a little dated and I didn’t enjoy my dinner in the restaurant. It was overpriced and not very good. Overall, the hotel was ok for the price.

Good and quiet

Hotel was nice and definitely offered good value for money. Breakfast was somewhat inconsistent from day to day, but good overall. Staff were very friendly and helpful, offering recommendations for drinks and transport. The location isn't ideal if you're on foot as the nearby roads are quite busy and don't always have traffic signals to allow for pedestrian crossing. That being said, Ubers were always around and inexpensive to get to the downtown centre. The hotel being slightly outside of downtown made it quiet, which was a plus.

Nice property with garden, pool, restaurant. Very short drive to local dining options and easy freeway access to the airport. Secure free parking just across the street 50 yards. Rooms are quaint with good beds and nice hardwood floors. However, poorly lit rooms are smaller than average, shower water pressure is astonishingly low despite water flow to the faucet - plumbing issue. Bath towels are old. Overall, good hotel, but these small details prevent from taking it up a notch. PS - Is non-refundable, so if your plans change, must be willing to take the hit.

Enchanting Escape at Autentico Hotel

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Autentico Hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. While the rooms were generally comfortable, my only suggestion would be to add more pillows to enhance the bedroom's coziness. Really disappointing stay at this hotel in a Deluxe Double Room. While the property was suitably clean, the rooms and amenities were pretty basic, poorly designed or broken — I had been staying a hostels in San Jose that were 1/4 of the price of this place which were in a better condition. Bathroom was a wetroom with the shower the same level as the floor, so the water sprayed everywhere. Plug sockets were falling out of the wall and room felt like a cell. The worst part was the staff. Rude at check-in, restaurant and management. I had made the mistake of booking this double room for one person on Expedia — it should have been for 2 but there was no difference in price on expedia, so I messaged the hotel in advance if they could amend. They tried to charge me extra when the second guest eventually arrived. I had a really frustrating conversation with the manager who was dressed in a hoodie and who couldn’t care less about the price on expedia or providing customer service.
