Overall, the hotel was nice, the staff were helpful, and our stay was good.
However, the property is currently under renovation, which we were NOT notified of at any point. The outside of the building was covered in scaffolding, and there was very loud construction noise in the room in the middle of the day. The windows in some of the rooms were covered in frosted plastic, with workers right on the other side. It was tolerable, but had my children still needed afternoon naps, it would have been unacceptable. Had we been warned ahead of time that this would be a concern and been given a discount, I probably would have booked the hotel anyway and been completely satisfied. As it is, it seemed over priced given the noise and intrusion, and I am quite irritated that they never mentioned it to us.
Beyond that, the kids enjoyed the pool, although it is only 3 feet deep everywhere. The restaurant was extremely expensive, so we never ate in it. The layout of the hotel was very odd, with only one set of elevators, and a weird two level lobby.
The location was great, close to transit and Fisherman's Wharf.
