San Francisco de Asis Church

I really wanted to like the Westgate, but this hotel is long overdue for a major renovation. The rooms and bathrooms look like they haven't been touched since the 1980s. Dated fixtures, tired furniture, and an overall worn feel make it hard to justify what they're charging. The shower was the worst part. The shower head is set at a height that works if you're about 5'8" or shorter. Anyone taller has to squat down just to rinse off, which gets old fast after a long day. On top of that, they nickel and dime you for everything. They even charge you for water, which is unreal for a hotel at this price point. Between the fees and the condition of the rooms, it doesn't feel like guests are a priority. If you're considering staying here, know what you're walking into. Until ownership invests in a real update to the rooms, bathrooms, and their fee structure, I'd look elsewhere.
