Great hotel within walking distance from USS Midway, Seaport Village, Santa Fe train Depot and of course the waterfront. Hotel is a little dated but the staff does a great job keeping facilities clean and stocked. We love the free breakfast and evening happy hour! As a family of 5, the sleeping arrangements work well for us with two beds and a sofa bed. We love having seaport village close as the kids love the little shops, eating ice cream and looking at the cool ships. The Puesto is across the street and you have Cheesecake Factory and a couple of other higher end restaurants so not a lot to choose from with restaurants but you do have more choices inside Seaport village that are a little cheaper. They do have valet service that’s mandatory and will set you back $55 a night but the staff are friendly and helpful bringing your vehicle up.

Parking fee is $60 per day! We had a dog so add another $81. Other smaller fees. The extra fees came to around $225 for a 2 night stay.

Loved the breakfast buffet, area was perfect and staff was friendly. I give the room cleanliness a 9, the restroom could’ve used a little bit of improvement. Found hairs on the tub, I am very peculiar when it comes to this.

Would've been 5 stars if not for the special mandatory $25 charge that is returned to you as the "hotel shopping dollars", which is bad as is but what makes it worse is that you have to spend them until 10pm or you will lose them; so if you check in at 10pm, you will still be charged but without a chance to redeem them. Another annoyance is the breakfast "buffet". It IS buffet for everything but eggs, bacon, potatoes, and pancakes--you need to stay in line to receive a portion of them. So, no control of how big of the portion you want and you will not go for the seconds just to avoid the waiting in line.

1.- Liked to be very convenient for the Gran Fondo Bike Race 2.- Didn't like that I made and paid reservation through Expedia and I was charged by Embassy Suites as well. Both payments were took directly from my Wellsfargo Checking Account.

Furthermore, our property is valet only parking services but there are some alternative self-parking options you can take (not belonging to the hotel however). For future reference, there is metered street parking right behind the hotel off of G Street and Pacific Hwy and there is another metered parking lot that is parallel to the hotel off of Pacific Hwy and Harbor Drive.

Only 1 staff member at check in counter. Otherwise hotel is nice and clean. Suite is spacious. Heater is a bit too loud when it turned on in the middle of the night. It woke me up. Complimentary cook to order breakfast is good though the orange juice was bit light. Walk few minutes to Seaport village and USS Midway.

Wonderful hotel close proximity to the waterfront. Breakfast was great. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Interior lobby/atrium was cool, kids loved the glass elevators. Suite had plenty of room for our family and a separate lounge area from the sleeping area, which is very nice.

The property, the room and the front desk staff were amazing - and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The area that could use improvement is the restaurant staff. We went in when there were very few customers, and it still took about 10 minutes for someone to come take our order. Then, a grilled cheese and French fries took almost 30 minutes to get!

The room was nice, spacious and comfortable. It would have been nice to have better options to connect a streaming stick to the TVs as the provided cable was kind of pointless. The breakfast was good, above average. However the $60 price for valet was kind of outrageous as well as the additional $25 per night fee tacked on as the hotel was already a bit pricey for what it was. So although I had a nice stay and the location was great I am not sure the value for the money was all that great.

I’ve stayed at ES SD many times. The location is the best. Love breakfast and Happy Hour. So much to do in see in the surrounding area. Views from the bay view room are stunning. Staff is excellent. Iniego (celebrated his 32 anniversary while we were there) Donna and Mike, all in breakfast dining were exceptionally helpful.

On first look, hotel was great, but little things started to really add up. There were two TVs in our suite, both had different stations, and neither had “guides” so we had to browse one channel at a time. Our sink randomly backed up one day and filled our sink with a gritty dirt. Room service was $25 for a single dessert item and both times, the dessert was bad. We were bothered every time we walked through the lobby to join their membership program. It was just a really irritating stay and it could easily all be fixed with a little more attention to detail.

Loved staying here, close to the zoo, seaworld, USS Midway, quite a few dining options. Free breakfast, free nightly happy hour, hard to beat. Only negative is the $65/day valet parking as there is no other parking options. I will definitely stay here again!

This is my 5th time staying here ! It’s not a cheap hotel by any means but you get what you pay for. The staff are excellent and friendly. The indoor pool is a huge hit for my 3 year old. She’s been swimming in that pool since 1 years old. The happy hour and morning breakfast are so awesome !! The best part is how huge the rooms are. Especially with kids it’s nice to have the living room and big bedroom. The balcony is a nice refreshing thing to have as well. Fridge and microwave are so clutch for leftovers and warming milk.

The entry door lock to the room was broken Sofa bed sheets had way too many stains on them. Two small garbage bins in the room. It took staff two days to pick up our garbage. The balcony sliding was extremely hard to open and close. Was charged a Resort Fee...even though this hotel isnt a resort... Some staff during breakfast were not friendly and one gentleman was very rude to my daughter when she simply asked if the cups had lids. This is the second Hilton I've stayed at in San Diego, and this will be the last. Your thinking your getting quality because of the name and your not.
