"the houses were looking lovely on the internet and the house itself was clean and well maintained but it is more a hotel of value of 200 /300 reales per night. no more. the bed was cheap and terrible. the sheets were as thin as they could possible be and we didn't feel comfortable when we entered the room and found blood spatters on the wall and curtains. this doesn't fill one with confidence "

"Completamente abandonada! Chegamos às 17:30h e o quarto não estava liberado, apesar da pousada estar vazia. Qdo retornamos do evento, não tinha água para tomar banho. Depois de muita insistência, o vigia nos liberou um outro quarto, que também estava em péssimas condições! Casa Mar Paraty

"Casa Mar is the most charming little resort perched above a very secluded beach outside of Paraty. It felt like we had our own semi private villa complete with staff who cooked breakfast to order each day. The beach below was a great place to hire a private boat tour to the nearby beaches, swimming, snorkelling and lunch and saw turtles on our way back. The use of the kayaks for guests was a bonus. We paddled over to the restaurant nearby for lunch one day. We saw dolphins in the distance from the deck at the resort. This was a perfect place for the end of our 24 day journey throughout Brazil. It has a beautiful view of the water and is a great location to enjoy the sunrise. "
