Short break
It was my first time in a Gasthof, and this one was a very good suprise, the room was very clean, and had a gigantic shower, the view to the Bavarian Alps was amazing. The restaurant is very Austrian traditional with fabulous food, the family that runs this Gasthof is really friendly and helpful, very good place for resting after bycicle trips. Overall was an amazing experience and i know were to stay next time when visiting Salzburg. Ps take bus number 5 , takes 20 min to city center.

The staff are all friendly, helpful, and very hospitable. The breakfast was lovely, and we also dined at the restaurant for dinner, which was delicious. The balcony opened on a gorgeous view of the mountainside. Please note, the property does not have an elevator, so you'll need to carry your things up one flight of stairs. But this was one of our favorite stays on this trip, and it centrally located for visits to Salzburg, Hallstatt, and Berchtesgaden.

Our extended family has been eating and staying here for over 50 years!! Excellent family run hotel - good service and food and value for the cost. Excellent location for walking to Hellbrun Castle where part of the Sound of Music was filmed and other well known places.

Wished we could have stayed much longer.
Large, comfortable room with large, clean bathroom and full, walk-in shower. Floor-to-ceiling windows that could be opened at night for cooler air (no air-conditioning), that led to a private balcony overlooking a large meadow and the Alps beyond. Very large European breakfast from a self-serve bar was open from 7-10am, and the front desk was able to call us a cab, when we didn't want to walk one block to the bus. This hotel is very close to Schloß Hellbrun, so it was easy to get there right at 10am and beat the crowds. Large shaded patio areas and full restaurant menu available throughout the day. Beautiful hand-painted Bavarian illustrations and labels throughout the common areas.

good location , 10 minutes drive from city center
chosen because of location, not far from highway, 10 minutes to the city center of Salzburg, adjacent to Heilbrunn castle. Good hotel, very nice staff.

Quiet spot with nice mountain view
I picked this place because it had free parking. It's off the beaten path, 5 km south of Salzburg city center. Very short drive into town. Room was large, comfortable, clean, but not updated, which was fine. The wifi was nonexistent and they did not seem overly worried about it. They have a kitchen and restaurant downstairs, and even though I arrived around 9pm, they managed to find some food for me before closing. The mountain view in the morning was straight out of the novel Heidi, I'd stay here again.

Etwas Außerhalb von Salzburg wobei die Stadtmitte in 15 min mit dem Auto zu erreichen ist. Dafür hat man in der Nacht seine selige Ruhe. Gute Küche, allein schon die Salzburger Nockerln sind einen Aufenthalt wert.

Gemütliches Hotel mit hervorragendem Restaurant
Sehr gute und sehr ruhige Lage des Hotels - mit dem Auto erreicht man das Stadtzentrum problemlos in nur wenigen Minuten. Wir konnten schon bei unserer Ankunft um 12 Uhr am Empfang direkt einchecken und sofort unser Zimmer beziehen (und nicht erst um 14 Uhr). Das war schon gleich einmal wunderbar ! Das Badezimmer bot eine geräumige Dusche und ein Doppelwaschbecken - sehr schön ! Unser Zimmer selbst war altmodisch, aber eben gemütlich eingerichtet. Alles war absolut sauber und jeden Tag sorgte der Zimmerservice für Ordnung. Ein Kritikpunkt: Man liegt im Bett durch nur ein Kissen sehr sehr flach. Es wäre meines Erachtens unbedingt erforderlich, zusätzliche Kissen auf der Couch oder im Schrank zu lagern, um eine höhere Kopfposition beim Schlafen zu ermöglichen ! Wir hatten zum Glück im Auto noch ein paar Kissen dabei, um uns selbst zu behelfen ... Jedoch muss man sagen, dass die Matratzen sehr gut sind. Beim Frühstücksbuffet fehlen Eierspeisen - man muss konkret ansprechen, wenn man z.B. ein Ei oder Rührei bekommen möchte. Ansonsten bleiben eigentlich keine Wünsche offen. Im hoteleigenen Restaurant kann man sehr gut essen - absolut zu empfehlen !!! Man muss nicht lange auf sein Essen warten. Gute Portionen. Auch ein sehr guter Beilagensalat. Sehr freundlicher Kellner ! Dieses Hotel kann man auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen - auch wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder hier einchecken !

Gepflegter Gasthof mit hervorragender Küche .
Suchte in der Nähe von Salzburg einen gemütlichen Gasthof zum Übernachten mit Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Hause. Via Internet fand ich die beschriebene Bleibe in Autobahnnähe. Zimmer war sehr gepflegt, etwas zu klein, dafür mit Balkon. Angenehm ist die ruhige Lage. Komme sicher wieder.

Angenehmes Hotel in schöner Lage.
Das Hotel entsprach der Beschreibung und war daher genau so wie erwartet. Es bietet: gute Erreichbarkeit, ruhige Lage, kostenloser Parkplatz vor der Tür, Biergarten mit toller Aussicht, gutes Essen, netter Service. Gut geeignet, wenn man Salzburg und Umgebung erkunden will und nicht in der Stadt wohnen möchte, sondern in traumhafter ländlicher Idylle.

Fint hotell en kort biltur fra Salzburg altstadt.
Koselig gasthaus vi har besøkt jevnlig over mange mange år. Trives fortsatt like godt her. Koselig personale møter deg i resepsjonen og restauranten serverer nydelig mat. Eneste jeg kan sette fingeren på er litt manglende samarbeid mellom servitører og litt lang ventetid gjennom middagen. Frokosten var også litt enklere enn vi er vandt til. Ellers tipp topp og jeg anbefaler gjerne mine venner til å reise hit!

Sehr nettes Haus mit gemütlicher Gaststätte
Ländliche ruhige Gegend, ideal für einen Salzburg-Besuch (Innenstadt ist auch mit dem Bus gut erreichbar), Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.
