"The place was surprisingly clean for the price and had nice decorative touches that showed that the management really cared about the guest experience. The hot tub was clean and well cared for and a great way to wind down a day of hiking."

"From check in to check out. The entire staff was friendly and kept it professional. Cleanliness was beyond excellent. Parking on both front and back of the hotel. Plenty of activities to do in lobbies: from puzzles, chess, and flat screen tvs. The pool area was fun for the little ones . Stay here, if you're ever in Salida,CO. "

"I am a senior lady traveling alone and felt very safe. The area was well lighted at night. The room (king) was quaint and more than satisfactory. The best part was the bed (and even the pillows). Not sure the brand ( I tried to find out :>). I slept so well - I have back issues and this was the best I've slept in months. I walked into downtown (Salida) every morning... 1.7 miles (downhill :>) I would definitely stay here again. It is right on Rainbow (the hwy) but it is a 'motor hotel' - Wonderful Mexican Restaurant right across the street, and the other way was fabulous Brewery/Pub. "

"Staff is friendly and helpful. Room accommodations were great with large room, desk, large walking area you can put your horse in if needed, separate area for sink, refrigerator, microwave, keurig and an extra sink apart from the toilet and shower. Wi-Fi is reliable and fast. TV is large and if you have a doctorate in remote controls {why 2?} you maybe able to change the channels/apps. The only challenge was the parking in that there were 20 pounds of cars crammed in a 10 pound parking lot. Most vehicles had bike carriers on the back of their cars and it made for a tricky maneuver to get in and out. Breakfast leave much to be desired with biscuits & gravy, pancakes, waffles, bagels, English muffins, something round that resembles eggs, and sausage. Coffee, orange juice, and milk are also provided. It's sufficient to get you going but nothing memorable. Overall the stay was pleasant and accommodations more than adequate. Oh yeah, having to make reservations to use the indoor or outdoor hot tubs was a little different. I hate having to know when I will feel like romancing the wife...especially with so many others around. I would rate this place as a 4.8 out of 5. "

"Check in was so easy through the drive through. Very clean updated older motel. Would recommend it and would stay again. Loved their grab and go breakfast. Price very reasonably "
