"Booked a room at the Bathgate motel during Xmas time. The town of Egmont was super quiet (we barely saw people outside). The room has a beautiful ocean marina and ocean view. It also has a balcony where you can enjoy a coffee or a meal. "

"Very nice place with a balcony facing the ocean. Beautiful sunset to watch from your room. Staff are very helpful (Sager was so friendly to talk to and very helpful in giving us tips to travel around). I would choose to stay at The Oceanside again when I go back to the Sunshine Coast."

"Spent 2 nights with family in January 2026, way off season. Loved the location - very quiet, but just 4 minutes drive to downtown and the mall. Very comfortable beds, used the smart TV to entertain the kid with Netflix, Youtube etc. There was a fridge and a microwave which are always good to have. The only tiny issue was a fancy faucet in the bathroom that was spilling water off the sink when not fully open - I was told ongoing renovations would take care of that. But the general condition of the property was very good. We liked it so much I already booked another stay for next month's long weekend."
