"I wish the staff would have told us about the tram the first day so that we could have used it earlier. As well, we did not love the food served at the hotel restaurant. It was expensive for the meal and not really many choices. Staff was amazing otherwise."

"The hotel and grounds are wonderful, particularly in high summer when the gardens and floral scents from the herbs are wonderful. The location is peaceful and calming and the old Abbey grounds give an aura of protection given a high boundary stone wall surrounding the site. The architecture both old and new fit well together and the quality of finish is very high. The complementary coffee or tea on arrival is a nice touch and the glass water bottles to reduce plastic waste is a nice touch that promotes wellness. The lady at reception was most helpful to my mother. The only negative is the arrival sequence is complex involving finding a side gate, using a video buzzer and trying to read an LCD screen - impossible in bright sunlight. Eventually the gates open so you rush to get back in the car to await a golf cart's arrival to help you with your bags to transit to the hotel that is quite some distance from the side gate. Also the side gate appears to be the only way in and out for hotel guests, as the main arrival from the town is via the museum ticket office - this makes a short walk from the hotel into the local town impossible without museum staff interaction. As my mother had a mobility scooter this was not ideal as the ticket office wasn't access friendly for easy passage in and out after hours. Also the Abbey and buildings can be accessed in most part but there are steps and ramps that would make a disabled visitor have to take an alternative route if at all."

"Very convenient for the train station, tourist bureau and supermarket close by. Easy walk into town centre. Friendly helpful staff on reception. Good WiFi. Kitchen had what you needed. You could buy a few things at reception like UHT milk if needed. The apartment was well laid out. Quiet. Comfortable beds We found the check in times a bit confusing online but relieved to find they'd been extended when we arrived."

"The staff always make this hotel a welcoming stay. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere, attention, and recognition. We would recommend the restaurant which has excellent food with a selection of starters, mains and sweets and with a specials board too. And, of course, a wide selection of beverages including local wine. The rooms are clean, comfy and functional but basic, ideal for a stop over. We come here many times on our journey through."

"The deluxe room was well designed for travelers, with a good bed, toilet separate from a great shower with excellent water pressure and plenty of closet space and enough room. It was superb value for the price. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast also good value. The hotel isnât modern but has character and is comfortable. It is in a good location, readily accessible to the sights of Tours and the railway station but also well situated for quickly driving out of town to visit chateaux. The parking, for which one pays extra and needs to reserve, is tight, so we wished we had had a mid-size instead of full-size SUV (which would have also been better for some of the narrow country roads outside of Tours). The gym only has a few cardio machines but one could probably get a good workout at a fitness club not far away. We didnât try the mini-pool or hamam but they looked nice."

"Brilliant little hotel, ideal for a night on the road or for exploring Loire valley castles (10 mins from several of the best castles). Very friendly staff, modern, quiet and very comfy / spacious rooms. And even a pool! Couldn't ask for more. Copious EV charging facilities too."

"Good and convenient location close to city centre and train station with parking available on-street nearby. We had adjoining rooms - quite small but did the job as we only stayed one night but while passing through. They accept dogs which is a plus and limits our choices. Helpful staff. We didnât have breakfast as there are some lovely patisseries in the town."
