"I had a positive experience at this hotel a few months ago, and when I took a last-minute trip to Montreal again last weekend I did not hesitate to book this hotel again. Excellent location for visiting Montreal without a car! Right next door to music venues, 15 minute walk from Old Montreal and a 5 minute walk from green, orange and yellow metro lines allowing you to get anywhere in the city easily. Within walking distance of Via Rail if you are travelling with only a backpack, but perhaps a bit far if you have a big suitcase. Beds are comfy and rooms are acceptably clean, but it is a budget hotel so don't expect luxury. Staff are friendly. "

"My husband and I were staying for just one night - quick Montreal visit, and the Hotel Bonaventure far exceeded our expectations. It was reasonably priced, the room was clean and comfortable, the rain shower was lovely, the gym was large and had tons of options for working out, and the pool, hot tub, and sauna were everything this water nut could have wanted. The only drawback was that I didn't get to the hotel early enough to swim under the stars and had to wait until the next morning, but truly it was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend the hotel to any of my friends who are going to Montreal. "

"We loved the suite. It was huge. It included a continental breakfast plus it had a heated pool which my son loved. It was a short walk to/from the via rail station and saint Catherine st which we appreciated."
