Best place in town.
I could have stayed here forever. Very comfortable room with great view. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location and great restaurant right next door. Choose this hotel if anywhere in the area. Very peaceful.

We enjoyed the breakfast. The place was clean, and for the most part, quiet. Parking was ample and easy, and the location was convenient to what we wanted to do in the area. The price was fair for the amenities. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. We'd recommend it, and we'd stay again if we were in the area.

A nice getaway
The B&B is in a nice place next to the beach and a very good restaurant. The breakfast and Florence were very nice. The room was small but comfortable, and included coffee and tea making.

Just steps from Gold Beach in a quiet seaside town. Place is new with nice bathrooms and typical French cold breakfast. The owner doesn’t speak English but his wife does. So comfortable that we extended our stay to spend two nights watching the sunset and walking on beach at low tide.

We loved that this place is on a historic ocean beach. It’s close to all D-day activities. We stayed in the cottage, there was a slight smell of mildew. The fridge and stove was nice but no soap for dishes so we had no choice but to leave dirty dishes. The shower and bed were nice. No English spoken which was fine expect we were double charged but it was fixed right away. Wifi does not work in the cottage. Nice shutters to close out any light. Parked outside the door.

Outstanding and Superb at a Fair Price
This was an outstanding experience by a highly attentive host that exceeded every expectation. The rooms were modern, comfortable and an excellent location within easy reach of the beach. Breakfast was superb and everything desired was available and in abundance. There was a nice terrace available for relaxing outdoors at the front. The only improvement that may be useful is a stronger WIFI in the downstairs area.

Lovely room!! Near beach and Arromanches Mulberry harbor. The owner took good care of us in spite of our limited French skills. There were two resident cats, which always makes a place homey. A good restaurant right next door.

It is right by Gold Beach and has ocean views. It is however a bit out of the way and there are not many restaurants in the area. The breakfast is bread with some ham and yogurt. No hot breakfast.

The property was very easy to find, was clean, breakfast although limited was good and the owners were very kind and generous. The property was well located for visiting the DDay beaches and the internet worked well. Anyone wanting to have a comfortable, clean, well located place to stay would be wise to choose this place.

Nice little b&b with views over Gold Beach
Booked Villa Port Winston as it was on Gold beach. Lovely little b&b very friendly owners, nice apartment, our room had cooking facilities which is good as there’s not much around. Nice little breakfast too. We did have to travel to find restaurants but our trip was to travel around the beaches and memorials. November is very quiet!

Our train in the morning was cancelled from Frankfurt which put us late arriving into Paris. We did not arrive to the bed and breakfast until midnight , where we were greeting with a smile , and asked if there was anything we needed. Service like that is impossible to find. I highly recommend staying at the bed and breakfast you will be very well taken care of.

Villa Port Winston
Stayed here for two nights on way to Eurotunnel from Brittany, nice place and lovely well decorated rooms - breakfast was included in the price. Close to the local beaches but not much in the local area - need to drive. Having said that we went to local Restaurant recommended and this was fantastic. Would be a great location if you want to explore D Day beaches etc

Family Visit
Our family recently stayed at the charming Villa Port Winston for 3 nights. We loved it! The host and staff were very friendly and the location is great -- close to Bayeux and all of the historical D-Day beaches. Ample parking and beautiful views of the sea, including remnants of the famed Mulberry harbors. There is also a mussel hatchery behind the B&B. We found this interesting, as mussels and oysters are a staple of this region. We enjoyed having the windows open in the evening and mornings to hear the waves. Our room slept 4-5 and was very spacious and extremely clean. Breakfast is a typical French breakfast with fresh bread and croissants, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, ham, cereal, juice and coffee/hot cocoa. We had a scheduled tour one morning and our host graciously served breakfast for us one hour before the usual time, so that we could make it to our meeting place in Bayeux (about 20 min. by car). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to friends!

This is a perfect Bed & Breakfast just off of the Normandy beaches. Its a cute little building with just a few rooms. They are super clean and nice. Owners are very nice and helpful. They are not on the beach, they are just off of it and its a little walk.

Stayed here while touring the Normandy sites.
We stayed here to visit the Normandy sites and it was well situated for that but the location otherwise didn't have much nearby. The hosts were very nice, even after we showed up late due to travel issues, but they didn't speak very much English and since I don't speak any French asking about having my lost luggage delivered was a challenge. They offered a simple breakfast of croissants, bread, thin slice of ham, yogurt, cereal and coffee, which even though it wasn't a fully cooked breakfast it was nice to have since there wasn't anywhere else to grab food. The view from our room was of the ocean but also of a fish hatchery that was not very appealing but we didn't spend much time there so it was fine for us. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean and had a nice shower. The wifi was weak which was also a challenge when having to deal with lost luggage issues online and over skype. Overall it was a good place to stay but next time might look for somewhere closer to town or with a nicer view.

Great location overlooking mulberry harbors leftover on the French beaches stormed by British troops on dday. Fresh, complete breakfast of French cheeses, fresh fruit and juices, croisonts and more. Central Normandy Accommodation
Villa Port Winston is in the middle of the Normandy beaches. Our host welcomed us and helped us get to our room. He was very helpful with information regarding the local sites and gave a good recommendation for supper. The breakfast was very good.

Great hosts, great breakfast, and very clean. It is definitely more of a B&B than Hotel. While it is right next to the beach, the views aren't directly seafront. All in all a great place to see Normandy, but limited options in the immediate vicinity (1km radius).

Great location for D-day visit
The bed and breakfast is convenient for a visit to the D-day beaches. We are English speaking and communication was difficult with the owner. The breakfast was pretty thin. There is a large dining room with seating for about 20 but I think there is only 5 or 6 rooms. The bathroom had a good shower with good hot water. The wifi was ok but quite slow. There really isn't food nearby. The parking lot provides plenty for fenced parking. The luggage has to be carried across the gravel parking area and front path to a set of stairs to enter the reception area. The guest rooms are upstairs. If you have difficulty lifting this isn't the place for you.
