I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The views from the balcony were beautiful. We even had the gift of seeing the northern lights from the balcony one night!
The staff was lovely, very sweet and caring people. Thanks!
The view is one of the best you can just sit in the balcony and relax.the Place need more light on the outside because we arrived at night and it was difficult to find the place.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
When i arrived there was no one there and my key was in an envelope. Went to the room which was nice with a view of the bay. I noticed there were NO coffee pods for the Keurig, no glasses in the bathroom and on my table on the balcony there was a hall full can of beer with a lot of ashes on the rim. Also they was a piece of clothing, not mine in the closet. I was puzzled... the next morning still no one, no breakfast although they do state complete breakfast. At least if there had been coffee pods for my morning coffee. For over 200.00 it was a great disappointment. I certainly will never ever recommend that Inn to anyone and I would love some of my money back but i know that is not possible. Plus after booking with Expedia, the price of the room went down at least a good 50.00 i think. NOT HAPPY.

it's a good choice for those who love quietness and tranquility. Love the sound of birds and water, simply opening the patio door.
We visited after the end of the tourist season. The Auberge itself is several miles beyond the town of La , Baie, in a lovely wooded area literally right on the bank of the fjord. As soon as we entered, there was a sense of both tranquility and beauty. The reception area opens onto a wide-windowed dining area looking directly onto the fjord. We ate there, the food was good, individually prepared, and the setting incomparable. Our room was bright, clean, and comfortable, with a view to the woods and fjord and a balcony (great for warmer weather). Service was personal and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better sojourn.

Just in case anyone else is confused, please not that this place is very much an Inn and not a full fledged hotel. The property was nice and quiet and the person at the front desk was super friendly. However during our stay there was only one person working as it was apparently a low season. The breakfast was quite a let down based on the price we paid! The rooms were clean but they had a portable ac unit and the exhaust was attached to the window by a duct tape which fell down the first night and we had to keep putting it back the next night. The area is very pretty and quiet if the management can fix these minor issues this could be a really amazing place to stay
Not sure when to start on this all-around terrible experience. But here goes:
They will not pick up the phone, no matter how many times you try.
No staff are available for late check in, I had to call Expedia 3 timss to get this sorted out. Each time waiting for 50+minutes to get through to someone from Expedia.
Bed sheets are dusty, I kept sneezing all night.
No staff are available at any time, wven when I left in the morning.
This is a difficult place to rate so I will go with the Pros & Cons approach.
Cons
- NO air conditioning in our room, the Sable Room, so we were hot and the fan they gave us was loud.
- NO dining room, all the photos show dining room serving food. Definitely no breakfast even to order.
- I swear the owners were hiding from us. Luckily met one briefly and was able to call to get missing bath towels. Met another guest and she was upset she couldn't contact anyone as she was looking for coffee etc. Check in was just a key left on a table so you don't see anyone.
Pros
- The room was modern and well kept up. The bathroom super nice.
- The view from our balcony was really beautiful and stunning.
- The private beach was super nice.
A few things they need to work on and they can be super good. Better communication and availability. Bigger mini fridge, larger garbage can, air conditioning, breakfast even just toast and cereal because there is no restaurants around.
Very good Hôtel specially views of fjord , parking is upstairs and hard to go down with luggage there is no employee to help and no food or restaurant although i see the restaurant on 1st floor but was closed all the time and no restaurant near by so arrange food before checkin.
No one was there upon arrival. The outside is not clean nor mowed. A part of the auberge is closed due to poor maintenance. Room was clean but no one came during the second day to clean or change the towels. No staff onsite during the day, evening or night.
The property backs onto the bay, offering a very nice view. Unfortunately, the overall condition and management of the property leave much to be desired.
The rooms are very small and furnished with mismatched items. The same applies to the bathrooms, where the fixtures and towels are mismatched and noticeably old. There is no front desk or other convenient way to obtain information, and no one answers the phone, so guests are essentially left on their own.
Parking is also a major issue due to the very confined space. There are no restaurants nearby, making it inconvenient to find dinner or breakfast. The room was only moderately clean and could have benefited from more thorough housekeeping.
Overall, the location and bay view are the main positives, but the poor maintenance, lack of service, difficult parking, and limited nearby amenities significantly detract from the experience.
This was a lovely place with a magnificent view of the fjord. The staff were super nice and accommodating. The breakfast at the Auberge was delicious too! We will definitely stay there again if we travel to that area.
Our sea view was beautiful. We arrived late so our key was waiting with a note. The building older but very cozy. The staff great and breakfast delicious. We would definitely come back.
