"What a beautiful area. We had a great stay here. Very comfortable bed, clean room, and snacks available. As soon as I made the reservation, I received a message from the hotel about checking in after hours. Do yourself a favor...don't wait until you're sitting in the parking lot at 9:00 pm, trying to get in, to translate the message. It all worked out, though, and we had a wonderful time. "Staff were nice, though we were left waiting a while to check in. Nice room (though see later note re bathroom). More facilities than we'd realised. Convenient location next to bus stop for easy bus access to the towns around Lake Constance. En suite door was wierd - it was a sliding door which didn't really stay shut, and you could see through it (pattern of repeating translucent see through glass), which meant there was no privacy in the bathroom when sharing the room."

"A typical German Gasthof in stunning countryside. It was a pleasant stopover on our way from Italy to Frankfurt. The bedroom was adequate but a bit tired and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable but ok for one night. However, the friendly staff, reasonably priced restaurant serving local cuisine and an excellent breakfast made up for the slight disappointment with the room. "
