Such a great experience. Owner Martin provides excellent hospitality. The common area is such a fabulous laid back vibe to meet other guests. My go to when staying at Red Mountain.
Rams Head was the epitome of the classic ski lodge. The hosts were fantastic, and the other guests were great, as well. The room was great, and the common areas were really cool. It was a great place at a great price. Awesome value!

Amazing place, comfy rooms and common area with a fireplace, welcoming hosts. An absolute gem.
This is not a generic hotel. It's winter time, so it is for skiers and riders. It's eccentric - every room is different (mine was a bit dim) - but it's comfortable, and the owners and the owners care about their visitors. I highly recommend it.
It was like stepping back in time. The art, photos and characters are wonderful to look through. The living room is very inviting to sit around the large beautiful table next to the fireplace. The breakfast was simple but very nice. The management is very friendly and accommodating. The location is only minutes away to the lift by foot. The only real negative had nothing to do with the lodge and everything to do with the snow conditions (Mother Nature didn't want to cooperate this year).
Great stay in a clean room in an old-style ski lodge. Ample ski equipment storage in the basement along with a pool table and fun nostalgia on every wall. About a 10 minute walk to the RED Mountain lift. Good continental breakfast with protein offerings. The sauna was nice. There is no jacuzzi available. Would stay here again if we find ourselves near Rossland in the future.
This is not commodified accommodation. It's clean and comfortable, but what stands out is the old school, ski lodge vibe. It's chock full of artwork and mementos of a bygone era, a pool table in the basement, a giant two-way glass enclosed wood stove in the common area. The place is one of a kind, eccentric and endearing. The same can be said of the owner.
Our host, Martin, was interested in all his clients. He set up an amazing Swedish breakfast and on another evening he made a fabulous Swedish chowder to share with guests. Will definitely stay there again.

The place is very warm, vibe-wise. Don't go if you are looking for a fancy place, but do if you want a casual place where you might end up talking to strangers.

Very European funky old ski lodge vibe. Nice hang out living room with a "real" fireplace. European like breakfast with meats, eggs, fruit, cereals, yogurt, bread, etc.
About a 5-7 minute walk to lift. Martin, owner and host is fabulous. Rooms are small and not fancy but comfortable. I would stay there again. When you're on a ski trip, who really needs the glitz of a fancy hotel??
