"My sister-in-law booked this as our first B & B experience. After making the reservation through Expedia the owner followed through with a call to her. They changed the room to a handicap accessible room since I have MS and foot drop. It is a historical building and it of course behaves like one. The room I stayed in had been modified for my in abilities. There was at ramp up and another up for breakfast. There was a beautiful view across the road of the water. Also, for someone from Florida I walked on that sand that did not constantly shift under my feet with my crutches. The breakfast was wonderful and elegant served the time i was there in two rooms with multiple wood tables and interesting art on the walls. The owner that took us to the room provided us with much information about the area and knows all the best places to eat nearby. We had things to do in nearby towns and did not take advantage of the restaurants close by and ended up having issues finding places to eat so I would recommend utilizing the information. Great experience for our first B & B"

"We loved this place, not least because our River View room gave us a beautiful outlook. We even saw a seal swimming past. The two beds were big and comfy, the room had been renovated and a real person on reception made a nice change. I strongly recommend this place."

"Lubec is lovely - the easternmost village in the United States. Lovely views from the room over the sound to Canadian islands, and you can drive across on a single-lane bridge. Almost no commercial razzmatazz unlike much of coastal Maine. The Inn on the Wharf and attached restaurant was fine. Other reviews have rightly noted that the restaurant can be loud, and service is pretty slow. For once, decent coffee, both in the restaurant and in the rooms. Slight minus: bath plug stuck on half-closed, could not close properly. The only two other restaurants in the village were only open Thur-Sun. A nice diner, Two Spruces is 5 miles away. Otherwise nothing. Would happily go again."
