This is a fantastic place to stay prior to an early morning channel crossing. The hotel really is lovely, as are the reception staff. The rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable, and the hotel parking at the rear is very convenient. We chose not to eat/drink at the hotel and instead walked into the town. It's a fair walk to the centre, but it's worth it as there are plenty of lively bars and large selection of restaurants. We had a great final night before coming home to the UK.

Villa Marguerite

Saint-Omer

10/10 Excellent

Parking is right outside the property which is located a short walk into the town centre where there are a number of restaurants. The property, our room and the host were all excellent. Fabienne booked a restaurant for us which she also recommended - food and service were great at a reasonable price. Our room, including an amazing en-suite, was delightful and our breakfast - well worth the 15 euro charge - was fantastic. Can not recommend highly enough.

Hotel Eden

Béthune

10/10 Excellent

Return visit and even better. Don’t usually review hotels that we really like because they then become too popular, however this is a gem. The owners are friendly and accommodating and the room standards are excellent. We had a superior double on the way out and a junior suite back. Both were really plush. The only slight problems are not the fault of the proprietors- parking fees nearby are high and there is a problem with bird mess on cars from trees in the car park outside, don’t park...

A modern hotel building with a prominent 'ibis Styles Hotels' sign, large windows, and a covered entrance area.

ibis Styles Bethune Bruay

Room very clean. Bathrooms will need to be updated ie walking showers instead of baths? Breakfast very fresh with plenty of choice = viennoiseries, breads, fresh apple and multi fruits juices, cold meats, cheeses, yogurts, etc.. Various brands and flavours of teas. Coffee machine offering espresso, capuccino, hot chocolate etc.. A welcoming bar offering various drinks = beers, wines, spirits with snacks ie peanuts, crisps, chocolate bars. Big car park - free and secure - gate closed at...
