"This is our first time visiting Porto with my family. I got 2 rooms superior king bed with the river view. I can’t believe how gorgeous the hotel and our rooms are. I was blown away by the staff and location. We went to our daily walk by the river( it extends all the way with restaurants along the way ). Its just magical. You need to stay here to actually experience what im saying. The breakfast buffet is superb. I will definitely be back on this hotel on our next visit. "

"Hotel was excellent and for breakfast there was a great choice. Our only complaint was that in the Expedia description of perks for the hotel it included an indoor swimming pool and spa, however we were told when trying to book in for a swim that there was a charge of €15 per person per visit just to use the pool. "

"Breakfast was excellent, with good selection of food choices, staff on duty were both helpful and professional. Room was kept clean and the hotel was in a good location,with parking for my hire bike."

"The daytime staff at the desk was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and offered so many baked good, both savoury and sweet! The location is excellent for seeing attractions nearby and also the river. We had requested a twin room , but when we got to our room it was one bed. The night staff that checked us in told us that the twins may not be available on check in. He was able to move us to a standard twin room although we had paid for a superior room, so the room was quite small, but we were only there for one night, so it was ok for us. It would have been good to know when we reserved if we would be getting a twin room or not. Would highly recommend this hotel! "

We prefer a boutique hotel that is centrally located and with a bit of its own history, and Timbre Virtudes exceeded our expectations. The entire staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, and they provide five-star service at every turn. One suggestion for travelers—allow the hotel to arrange transportation to the hotel (we were coming from the train station). The hotel is on a narrow street and their help ensures you’ll get a driver who will take you to the front door. "
