"Honestly it’s a dump. I lived in this town for 20 years and had to go back recently for a short visit. The bathroom shower was awful, the shower head needed replacement the sink had a big gap against the wall, the bathroom fan was super loud, the air conditioner was also super noisy AND they made me pay a $100 deposit when we checked in for damages in the event we broke anything. LOL "

"The shower definitely needs a safety bar on the side wall. The tub bottom was very slick and hard to stand on. I almost fell 3 times during my shower."
Best Western Plus Morristown Conference Center Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"Door
Improperly hung, hard to open, sounded like it was lifting the metal threshold
Strike plate completely missing
Gouges that looked like a crow bar was used to open it
Bathroom
Reserved believing it was handicap accessible
There was a tub, not a walk in shower.
No handheld
No seat
I called the front desk and they offered a different room but we were exhausted and unpacked. They sent down a shower chair.
Low water pressure
Hot water at sink and tub, but warm from shower head
Ice machine was out of order
Room
Carpet was wet for 2 to 3 days
Edge of pillowcases were shredded
After being gone the 1st day, our entry cards did not work. m. They had only been activated for 1 night. I had to go to the front desk.
I let them know the room and our experience was far from acceptable.
We did not request housekeeping after the 1st night, we used the do not disturb sign
After the 2nd night we did NOT use it. They brought new towels, made the beds. The pillowcases were still shredded.
WE took out the trash."
"The staff was great, I'll start with that. And this place has so much potential. The TV works. The AC works well. The actual hotel could really be very nice - some of the architecture is really cool. But it is not a place I'd book a 2nd time.
I can't speculate as to why certain things are the way they are, if it's finances, the clientele, or the care/concern of the actual owners, but there are just a lot of things about this place that are lacking.
There were only two small bath towels in our room that in my opinion were questionable as to whether or not they'd even been laundered. Like I was not sure if I was cleaner before or after my shower. Were they clean or is the owner just not willing to pay the extra for bleach to use when laundering the towels? I don't know. But I had very little confidence in the towels and all the linens in general. There were 3 pillows on the bed, with really not-very-clean-looking pillow cases. And the pillows themselves were misshapen and probably quite old.
There were a lot of people loitering around smoking, including one of the housekeepers. And at one point it smelled like pot outside our door. Our room, a non-smoking room, smelled just like any old hotel room that's been smoked in since 1960.
I hate to make a bad review because making people less likely to book it won't make the owners have more money to invest in this property, but they really need to try harder."
"Check in was great. No issues. Hotel and rooms were very clean. Good shower, and beds were comfortable. No problem with the room. Morning breakfast was an issue though .No hot food when we got there, super slow on refilling everything. Everything was picked through because there was not much of a choice. Definitely needs to be better. Hit or miss the way it seems."
"Parking was right behind the hotel and was free. Breakfast was a $7 coupon for the coffee place attached to the hotel. This basically covered the cost of a breakfast sandwich.
Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. "
"Staff was friendly, rates were good for the room I got. The hotel is older, but the room was clean…I had a Non-smoking room, but the room still had an odor of smoke, I didn’t ask for a different room because it wasn’t a really strong odor but was obvious that it had been a smoking room at one time"
"The staff was great and check-in was a breeze. The room was large and serviceable, but there were stains in the carpet, the bed covering, and one of the large towels. The room was mostly clean, though, and had no ill smell…just well-used and a bit out-dated. The treadmill in the fitness center was in disrepair and there were multiple boxes of AC units being stored in there. The hospitality made this a 4/5, otherwise it was a 3/5."
