Quiet Guest house

I had to switch rooms so I could have AC. The accommodated me and very helpful. I was really comfortable and peaceful. I loved my stay. The bus stop is right across the street and the Bakery is a 15 minute walk for outstanding Brotchen. Delicious

Home in a village

The hotel was unique because, it was in a small village away from the hustle and bustle. Very clean. quiet and comfortable. When I’m back in this area, I will stay there. The breakfast service was outstanding.

Some units have AC and some don’t. So make sure to get one that does if reserving in the summer. Easy parking. Internet was good, worked from the hotel and had no issues. The owner of the property greeted me and was very nice.

Der stod ved booking at man kunne bestille morgenmad, det kunne man så ikke det var taget af pga. der kun var studenter. Meget larm udenfor vinduerne, der var megen cigaretrøg som trak ind på værelset. Der var ingen loftventilator eller håndklædetørrer som beskrevet. Elevationssenge og massagestol virkede ikke! Der var ingen i receptionen i det tidsrum hvor der står de skal være der, der kommer ingen når man ringer på telefonen som de selv beskriver at man skal!

Hotel wurde wegen einer Dienstreise genutzt. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt und war sehr sauber. Die Matratze war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu weich. Ausgeleuchteter Hotelparkplatz. Ramstein AB ist von dem Hotel in ca. 10 bis 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Frühstück bei Buchung inkl. mitgebucht, keins bekommen!! Sauerrei, das man den Gästen das erst am Tag der Ankunft mitteilt bzw. überhaupt nicht mitteilt. Man hat nicht mal Tage oder Wochen vor der Anreise Bescheid bekommen oder auch einen Preisnachlass. Sowas geht garnicht!! Das ist ein No Go!! Aber Hauptsache den vollen Zimmerpreis einkassieren. Frechheit!! Nie wieder!!

This place was really great! We stayed here for a week. The staff was so helpful with any questions I had. The rooms were really clean. The housekeeping was good too. I got fresh towels and blankets when I asked. I would definitely stay here again.

Look elsewhere.

There were holes in the walls, wallpaper was falling off, stains on the kitchen walls, spider webs in every corner of the bathroom, and ants coming in from the crevices under the doors. A true shame, because it was very spacious, and has so much potential. Our booking said they offered breakfast as an add-on but once we arrived we were told they do not offer breakfast at all. No housekeeping on the weekend, and no front desk service after 4pm. The wifi didn’t work our first night, and was very weak throughout our stay. The tv only received about 5 channels. The room smelled of cigarettes all the time. Couldn’t wait to leave!!!

Nice, quaint hotel in a nice German village. Close to Ramstein and the autobahn. The description said close to shopping and lots of eateries. That wasn't necessarily true for us as when we think of "close" to mean within walking distance. When we checked in, the lady asked about our dog and said that we didn't tell them about a dog. The website said that the property was pet friendly, which is the reason we picked it. Also, she over-charged us for our pet. The website said €6 per night for pet but she charged €8. I was going to tip at the end but since she did that, I felt like her tip was included in what she charged me.

Worth the stay and trip to Airbase

Nice private Mom and Pop hotel. The room was very well kept, and the local town was nice. One small issue with WiFi which was explained by the front desk. Over all I would rate my stay a 7.5 out of 10. If you are just looking for a bed and shower as you are working most of the day, then this is the spot..... One last thing, The rooms are very sound proofed, which is GREAT!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay there. The children had a playground to run around in and had fun playing ping pong. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the internet was too slow for a family used to playing online games and video streaming. Other than that, the stay was great.

Fun and Quaint Place to Stay

Fun place to stay! They were accommodating. We arrived later in the evening and were welcomed. After that we saw no one. Not complaining—we did not need anyone. Breakfast was good. We were the only ones in the room at that time, but food was stocked so we did not need anything. For checkout all we had to do was leave the key on the counter and go. Our only problem was that the shower did not have cold water. I spent a bit of time troubleshooting the problem and found that truly, no cold water was making it to the shower. We were fine and used the sink faucet to pour on ourselves (we like to solve our own problems), but we would have liked to report it before we left. Admittedly, we did not go out of our way to find someone.

Long stay revealed a lot

I was in this hotel for 6 months. I got to exeprience a lot. Lots of ups and downs. Pros: Lots of room sizes to choose from. I had a 1br/full kitchen, and it was great. Had everything i needed to actually "live" there for that length of time. Location was close enough to Ramstein but in a smaller quieter town. Near to shopping and some restaurants. Some English channels on TV. Breakfast was reasonable for the hotel. Heat, a/c, water pressure all were fine Cons: owner seems to try to do all repairs himself. My sink needed to be fixed three times in a week. Finally, he took it out, and it took a week to replace with a new oven and small dishwasher. That then leaked twice. The old oven sat in the hallway for 3 months like it was a piece of furniture. I didn't care...i thought it was comical after a while. But, someone else might. Sometimes breakfast was closed without warning on random days. Same with housekeeping. Some days they just didn't come. No real rhyme or reason. The front desk isn't always manned. All in all, for 6 months, I found myself frustrated at times, but mostly comfortable once i figured it all out. I'd stay again, hoping the frustrating parts were just bad luck.

Nice location, staff friendly, management accommodating. We left early AM to catch a Space-A flight, they let us return to the room after we weren't high enough on the list to make the flight. So we got more time on the computer.

Great breakfast and comfortable small hotel with very friendly staff. My only complaint was that the Chef didn't seem to have the time to get the English CNN news up and running even though it was on the TV as available.

I originally booked a room which had a description of having a kitchen. I tried to look at the room before I checked in, but was told that it was occupied but was assured it had a kitchen. It did not. It had a micro-fridge with a small MW on top and a few utensils in a drawer below. I mentioned this to one of the owners and she accommodated by moving me to a room with a full kitchen on the 2nd floor. Small but not bad. I was also told that the price would be a same as the original room. I checked out for a business trip but returned and was given a room with a kitchen on the 3rd floor which was even smaller and not nearly as nice since it had vaulted ceilings and the two roof windows allowed in a lot of direct sunlight. It was summer and this made the room very hot. There are fans in the room but they did not help much. After I checked out, I was charged the full rate for a room with a full kitchen for both my original stay (except for the first three nights) and the second stay and was charged for three nights that I did not stay there, but was refunded that money. BOTTOM LINE: Rodenbach is a nice area and the hotel is overall fairly nice. If you are staying more than one week and want a kitchen, there are much better options than this hotel. And if you do stay there make sure everything (room type, price, etc.) is clear up front because attempting to get things corrected after the fact is a pain. WiFi: The hotel uses German Hotspot which worked but not very well.
