It was the ultimate Place, a Hotel inside a fortress, great with more choices than most a mid Evil Fortress. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and plentiful choices.

Parking is excellent once you understand that you remove and replace the rope yourself. Not a big problem. The reception is approximately 150 metres away in the old town, a straight walk. Again no big deal once you know. I would stay again without hesitation. The view is fantastic. Watch out for early morning ballon rides going by !

I arrived on Thursday, June 18th (4ish pm) After a long walk from the train station (apparently public transportation is very scarce in Rocamadour) to the hotel, the receptionist was very kind and welcoming. We stumbled through our language barrier (she was very patient with me) and I was checked in and on my way. Before I went to my room, I asked if she would schedule a taxi for me back to the train station on by departure day. She was very accomodating. Better yet, the taxi showed up. It's a great hotel, very clean and spacious room. The bathroom was large compared to those in Europe. No air conditioning, which I knew booking, but a fan is provided and keeps the room comfortable. The hotel is a two minute walk to the Sanctuary. If you are taking the train to Rocamadour....do yourself a huge favor and pre-book transportation to town. You'll thank yourself!!

Het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt is prima. De dependance is een wat ouder gebouw, dat merk je in de gangen en kamers. Maar alles is verder netjes en schoon en de badkamer was super gerenoveerd.

Manque la climatisation. Dommage nous avons séjourné pendant une journée de canicule. Fenêtre ouverte au milieu de la nuit ça allait car ventilateur ne faisait plus effet. En revanche beaucoup de circulation des 5h du matin malheureusement. Sinon bon emplacement et parking hôtel très proche. Bien mangé au restaurant de l hôtel également.

De kamer was klein maar goed onderhouden en erg proper, de kleerkast wat aan de kleine kant maar met genoeg kapstokken en met een prachtig uitzicht op de vallei, van waaruit rond 07.00 uur luchtballonnen opstegen met passagiers (opgelet want 1 jaar op voorhand reserveren!), een prachtig spektakel. Het bijhuis waarin mijn kamer lag ligt slechts 200 meter van het eigenlijke hotel met daarover de ontbijtzaal en restaurant, waar men 's morgens door het vriendelijke personeel wordt ontvangen voor het wat mij betreft eenvoudige maar lekkere ontbijt en hele goede koffie met al dan niet warme melk naar keuze. Het bed had een goede matras en ik heb er goed geslapen zonder storend lawaai van verkeer of hotelburen, en het is slechts 4 minuutjes stappen van de levendige hoofdstraat met vele winkeltjes en drink/ eetgelegenheden, en het Heiligdom is zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken evenals het kasteel.
