"Pleasantly surprised! The site I booked from didn’t show pics, but we were down to the wire for a last minute getaway so I grabbed it for the price. We travel often & this was one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed! The entire HOTEL was FRAGRANCE & OVERBEARING CHEMICAL FREE!!! Praise the Lord! It’s a quaint boutiq-ish hotel tastefully decorated w quality craftsmanship. Room & bath tub were very large! Great hot water & pressure! Awesome quiet ceiling fan and king bed was super comfy! We slept great and honestly not only was it the cleanest hotel, but truly one of the quietest we have stayed at. The front desk attendant was friendly and actually offered to bring us a deck of cards from his next shift since the weather was horrible. When the attendant was showing us the stairs he could tell how uncomfortable I was with the weather, and handed me their power outage kit and showed us where to go in case of an emergency!!! Not ONE time in my almost 60 years has any hotel been so thoughtful! Our room provided a wonderful mountain view and a larger than normal hotel room refrigerator and microwave. Bring snacks as no restaurant on site, but please go eat @ The Tuck& Table in Bryson City! Newer restaurant w/Great food, good portions, right on river w view, inside & outside covered seating and NO WAIT! Do yourself a favor and walk past the place w the line and 20 minute wait… get a meal before the others are seated! We will be back to both Nantahala Resort & Tuck & Table!"

"Great location and views with a super friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was simple but decent. They had a large assortment of packable breakfast bars perfect to loading up my hiking pack with. Definitely not a luxury stay and there was some bugs sneaking into our room."

The room was clean ac was ice cold the bed was super comfy n soft and was so relaxing sitting in back on the rockers n watching the river flow by. We will definately be back again!"

"I enjoyed my stay overall—the hotel was clean, well‑maintained, valet services were good and housekeeping was excellent. Any time we needed something, they arrived within minutes, which I really appreciated. For a well-known property, I did expect complimentary water bottles at check‑in for all guests. The restaurant and bar closing at 9 PM also felt unusually early, especially for a hotel that has a casino. Extended hours would make a big difference. The property has one indoor pool, which was nice, but for such a large hotel in the mountains, I expected additional amenities like a jacuzzi or hot tub. A good stay with standout housekeeping, but a few improvements would elevate the overall experience."
