The check-in was quick and easy. The young woman at the front desk was very friendly. The room was comfortable and was a perfect stop over for a road trip. Breakfast could be improved. Warmers weren’t filled and when the eggs did come out, they were cold. Plenty of bagels, but out of English muffins. Coffee was good. The stay was good for what we needed.

If you value a friendly and welcoming staff that works hard to meet your needs, this is the hotel you want to find when traveling along 95 in North Carolina/Virginia. The rooms were clean; televisions, refrigerators and microwaves all worked; bathrooms were well-maintained. If you read some of the negative reviews you'll find complaints that for $50-80/night folks aren't greeted with crystal chandeliers, mints on their pillows & a breakfast buffet carving station. But, if you can overlook a few chipped tiles here and there and a simple but fine free breakfast, you will find a warm and inviting home on the road staffed with some of the most helpful, kind-hearted staff you'll want to meet.

The room was ok. The shower though did not have hot water. It took over 10 minutes for it to get to the "warm" temperature but never got hot. The breakfast area also was very very minimal. There was 2 types of cereal, bread, english muffins, and bagels for toasting, and a scrambled egg / ham hot dish. The mini fridge had no yogurts in it. We had a comfortable sleep but everything else was pretty below standard.

Our stay over night was fine as it was an overnight stay on our way to Florida. It was easy on and off the highway and dog friendly for our pet. Rooms could use a little renovation. Breakfast was ok not a great selection of items.
