Great location! The bar staff are wonderful and very accommodating! The pool was a great option to lounge in before heading out to Elmwood Park for the concert. Only issue we had was the phone in our room did not work, so we had to call the front desk with our phones and there was a plastic hanger and discarded price tag under the dresser the TV was on which made me wonder how thoroughly the room had been cleaned before we checked in.

The location is good for down town and visiting the roanoke star , check in was easy due to the helpful main desk staff. We went as tourists but this seems to be very much a business hotel so it was quite noisy even in our room as we had late drinkers shouting and early risers with loud TV’s blaring add the rail track and dont stay here to have a good sleep. The bar staff, main desk staff and one elder gentleman who picked us up from the self parking with our cases were great. The younger valet staff loitering around the main door were rude as !!!

Two staff members at the front desk were extremely friendly and accommodating, allowing is to use the pool both before and after check out. This wasn't advertised, so we were glad we asked. Also we were able to check into our room an hour ahead of time . Our room was beautifully appointed and very quiet, even at night. Very pleased!

The hotel Roanoke is the Grand Dame of the Star City. It is a fantastic hotel, with old world charm, that never fails to satisfy. From check-in to check out the employees and staff go above and beyond the call to take care of you. I highly recommend the hotel Roanoke to anyone traveling to the Star City of the South!

Great place to stay to break up our road trip from ny to tn! Very convenient walk to downtown without having to be directly in the downtown. Beautiful historic hotel with very nice rooms and great showers. We loved the lobby bar, beautiful.

Beautiful amazing well kept hotel, would strongly recommend you pay the extra ten bucks for the valet parking. Or you'll be doing a whole lot of walking, hotel room was absolutely accommodating, perfect view of the beautiful roanoke mill mountain star.....

It was a really nice hotel. The rooms were clean and it was essentially located to everything. You just walk over a bridge and you’re in the city with lots of restaurants and food to eat. The staff was really really nice as well.

The property overall was amazing but, You have to pay for parking, No breakfast included. The restaraunts inside the hotel were very expensive. The staff was amazing and the room was great though. There's nothing to do nearby in my opinion. I felt very unsafe downtown across the railroad tracks nearby.
