"Chateau Saint John is a newer hotel made to look older. It was built in 2012 on the site of the old hospital. It is lovely though. Has a nice breakfast. Rooms are large. Bed is comfy. Very quiet at night. 1 elevator was down so being up on the 6th floor was a bit of a wait at times. Our only negative was the smoking pit area outside the front doors. Cigarette butts everywhere in the parking lot. It really took away from the classy feel that the hotel gave when you first arrived. They should designated an area away from the main entrance. We would stay there again if we were in Saint John again."
