This Best Western property has been recently renovated. I stayed in one of the balcony rooms, and they were large, clean, and modern. Some of the other rooms in the older wing of the hotel didn't look nearly as nice, so be warned.
One negative about the hotel is that there is not a lobby, per se – there is a bar area that acts as the de facto lobby. When we tried to bring our own wine to drink we were told that we couldn't without paying a corkage fee. I've never been in a hotel that wouldn't let you bring your own beverage into the lobby. A shame, as there is so much wine to buy in Riquewhir and the surrounding towns that it starts adding up. The last thing you want to do is buy another (overpriced) bottle at the hotel bar.
The hotel itself made a nice base for exploring the area. Riquewhir itself tends to get mobbed by tourists after about noon, but it is nice in the morning and after about 5 when the tour buses start leaving. There are also very solid restaurants there, and Colmar is less than half an hour away. The hotel has decent parking, too.
