Despite repeated requests, 2 of 3 flags dangled by one hook upside down for two days (neither front desk person understood nor noticed). Disappointment as a Retired 30 Year Navy Veteran would be an understatement.

Good place to stay while bird-watching in the Western Rio Grande Valley. Room was nice, staff was friendly and helpful. They are renovating, so there was some noise from next door, but that's a plus for future visitors.

The room smelled moldy. The water would not get hot. Blood was found on the sheets. The jacuzzi was broken and not able to use. All in all, this was the second worst hotel experience I’ve had. And why would you need my Credit Card for incidentals when there was nothing to offer. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

Nice enough place to stay. Staff was not attentive. Hardly looked up from their phone to acknowledge me at desk or say good morning. No plates at breakfast, just small ones and bowels. Almost burned my fingers putting the waffle on two small plates.

Good stay, though pricey
Generally good stay, though a bit pricey. Room was very comfortable and a good size. Bed was comfortable, shower was good. Breakfast was mediocre. I was disappointed that there were no receptacles for recycling.

The black out window screen was broke. The water was cold for 2 days. First night I did not take a shower, the second night I got in the shower and use a wash rag to get soaped up then got under the water to rinse off.

At least the hotel was nice.
The hotel was fine, although it appeared to be understaffed. I was delighted to see several dining options close-by, but the area was hard to walk, and all were very crowded, catered only to dining apps or drive-thru. I had to dive into heavy traffic (making a left turn from the entrance was very difficult) just to obtain a bite to eat.

This was a lot of money for a lot of disappointments. First the room smelled like someone perfumed it to remove a smoker’s odor. I had to open the window to air it out. The road noise is about the same as a motel 6. The outlets and lamps on the bed’s end tables don’t work. The weekend breakfast is an hour later. For over a hundred a night in off-season, I sure expected more.

Will definitely stay again
We are in rio all the time usually stay with family. This time we opted for a room, this was a great choice the pics on google must be old. The room we experienced was clean didn’t smell bad and seemed recently painted and updated was very impressed especially for the price!! Will definitely stay here again especially the given proximity to restaurants stores etc there was free breakfast. We did not wake up in time for that lol parking lot was clean pool was clean lobby area was immaculate. The only thing we didn’t like was in the room there is a door that presumably leaves to the next room. This door was unlocked and opened that was a bit concerning for my family: luckily I carry around a small wedge for situations as such we moved the coffee table and chair and a lamp to the door as an extra precaution. There was a few ants in the restroom but they seemed to go away and we didn’t notice anymore once we had settled in. As far as aesthetic goes didn’t much like the green chair or the top blanket of the bed which was green it didn’t match the rest of the modern room. But it was still very nice l. Another plus for me was the ac blew extremely cold! I travel with a fan everywhere for these exact situations didn’t need it here.

Pleasant gentleman when checking in. Room was clean except for some ants around bathroom sink. The rooms have been renovated since the last time we had stayed. Breakfast was from 6am-9am yet at 815am when my family and I came down for breakfast, everything (all the hot food) had already finished and when the man at the front desk (not the same one from the night before at check-in) was notified, all he said was sorry and that it had finished. With 45 minutes til 9am, you’d figure they would make one more round of food, ESPECIALLY if families were still coming down for breakfast! There was no one in the breakfast area attending to it either. Needless to say, that was disappointing

Phone in room wasn’t hooked up to anything….carpet didn’t seem to have be vacuumed or replaced in awhile. Will give the check-in clerk credit the room I booked was sold out and he upgraded to a suite as same price, however on check out clerk did not seem to understand the concept of a CASH payout so to avoid frustration left it on my card.

I was upset because of one employee which was the night security guard that was rude by telling us he was going to give us 15 minutes more in the pool cuz he says you’ve been in here all day with a rude voice I had never had problems with staff before I understand you have your rules to the pool but he had no right to tell us in a rude way

As for us enjoying the pool was awesome and we all loved it but in rm 107 there was very little pressure in the shower which I think they should have it looked at and fixed but as for the rooms they are comfortable
