"I had a terrible experience with Villa 12 Guesthouse. I traveled a long way from US to Swiss (Villa 12 is on the border between Swiss and France), and had to work on the arriving day, so I got at the Villa 12 Guesthouse around 8:30pm, that is very normal time for a hotel/Guesthouse check-in time. But to my surprise, the main Gate of the Villa 12 is tightly closed, and the guesthouse building looks dark, did not seem there were people living in it. The Hochschwartwald card was excellent allowing us to visit Freiburg, Titisee and Donaueschingen by train and take a boat tour of the lake, all at no cost. We were really lucky to have found this small hotel."
