An excellent selection for oyr stay on Sao Miguel! Historical monastery, beautifully restored and decorated. QUIET! And the breakfast each day was amazing. Our hosts, Sao Zigna and Rodrigo were most accomodating, making sure our atay was a memorable one! Muito obrigado!

We were met with a handshake and engaging conversation by the hotel’s administrator. We sat in the living room on couches to get checked in. We were personally escorted around the hotel showing us much history of the building, where breakfast would be served, where the pool was, etc. The room was beautiful! We stayed in a spacious suite and had a nice quiet room. We would definitely stay there again if we have the opportunity.

Lovely.

Lovely house. Came off season so the pool and garden were not attended too but too cold for sunbathing. Gorgeous old mansion. Room simple and non luxurious but clean and in the right atmosphere. Would book again. Perfect for a large group that would need 12 rooms, huge kitchen, Lou yes, pool table etc.

Wonderful place, high ceilings, lovely gardens and views; there are multiple shared rooms including library, bar and pool/snooker table room. Very pleasant and helpful management and bar staff. Only niggle was the breakfast - selection was below par. I will definitely be coming

Superbe !

Nous avons passé 4 nuits au Solar. Notre séjour reste tout simplement mémorable ! Leah et Frank nous ont accueilli avec tellement de gentillesse et de bienveillance, toujours disposés à nous conseiller pour que nos vacances soient les plus agréables. La bâtisse est quant à elle majestueuse, avec son beau et paisible jardin. Très bien située et d'accès facile pour visiter la grande moitié est de l'île.
