It's a guesthouse with shared facilities in a converted building so don't expect the Hilton, but I enjoyed the 4 nights I stayed here.
The rooms were clean, there were plenty of showers and toilets and I never had to wait, and there was a common area / kitchen although I never used it.
I don't think I saw or spoke to any staff members while I was there (it was during COVID so the key was left in the room and I checked in via the door buzzer) so I can't comment on the staff but the guesthouse itself was fine.
There are better places in the city but Iceland is super expensive, and this was both within my budget and totally acceptable.
It's right opposite the main road into town, has plenty of shops including a supermarket within a few minutes walk, is less than 5 minutes from a transport hub and bus station, and there is a bus stop where you can get picked up for tours and excursions right outside.
Overall it was a good option, and I'd definitely consider this location if I went back to Reykjavik again.
