Access road to College Farm This access road serves as a public footpath leading to Maypole Green further to the east.

Original reservoir Taken from the retaining bank of the new one, this is the older reservoir to the north-east which is shown on the maps.

Inviting footpath From the road, which turns from east to north at this point, a footpath goes right (south) and this one continues east towards Brundish. The bank to the left is the bank of a reservoir which is partly in this square. A new reservoir, not yet shown on maps, has also been constructed to the right behind a line of saplings along the path. The presence of the reservoirs probably explains the proliferation of hydrant and stop valve signs here.

New reservoir This reservoir does not yet appear on any maps. It is to the south-west of the older one, adjacent to the two footpaths that join at right angles and north of Wood Farm.

Lane to Hales House Hales House is a few hundred yards further north. The lane and some of this building are just in this grid square. The building has the feel of a former chapel, although it may be a little large. It was in fact the old school and schoolmasters house.

I stayed here some years ago and was very impressed, however it is very tired and dated now, they are doing some renovations in some areas. Definitely not worth the money at the moment.
