Excellent location, amazing staff !! When we arrived at Oslo airport, my jetlagged bf put in the wrong hotel and we ended up 4 hours away!! The staff were so helpful and guided us with the quickest route and even called us back (when we got disconnected in a tunnel). Breakfast was delicous - very fresh lovely breakfast buffet. The staff went above and beyond - excellent service!! We highly recommend taking the Ramsdalen gondala which had breathtaking views!!

Everything about the Grand Hotel is spectacular. The view causes tears of awe. The staff were warm and welcoming. The bed is so comfortable!

Great hotel, great location
This is a really nice hotel in a beautiful area. Great breakfast, comfortable room, excellent location. The only complaint is the coffee/hot water station in the lobby -- charged for the tea and coffee and it wasn't hot.

Very nice modern rooms. Convenient location - a 5 minute walk down to town and to the gondola to the top of the mountain. Breakfast was a bit lacking compared to other breakfasts on our trip to Norway. (Trays were empty and not really being refilled, and it was difficult to find the waitress to ask for something.) overall a good hotel for a one night stop over to see the area attractions.

Room was very nice, I had a 2nd floor room with view of the fjord. All inclusive breakfast was sufficient for my needs. Also had dinner at the hotel, and it was very good. Food choices were fine as well as atmosphere and service. Overall a great stay!

Fantastic place right at the Sentrum/Downtown location - this is a classic hotel and very clean/efficient. Now the drawbacks - the bathroom sink is tiny - like in the aircraft! The shower - one of the European kinds with half-glass so the water will invariably make it out and make the entire bathroom floor wet! Other than these 2 minor issues, our stay was perfect. Parking right in front (free with limited # of parking slots) or paid parking of NOK 150 per night in the rear. THank you to Classic Hotel Staff for making a 3rd bed for our 12 year old - very nice! Instead of having to do it ourself and struggle with it. The breakfast buffet was terrific, as expected. Walkable to everything in Andalsnes - including 5 to 10 min to station, gondola ride, downtown with food trucks (lots of veg options! - food trucks only in weekend?). THere are some really cool small restaurants and cafes. Try out the Sødahl-Huset - has some great Norway soaps etc as well to purchase including chocoloate and their food bowls etc. look great (though we had already eaten at the food trucks). We only stayed for 1 day - all in all, as close to perfect as possible.

Hello. Thank you for the feedback, we are doing an extra round with the dry cleaners to raise the standard of the towels. It is an old hotel, but we renovate and refurbish regularly. But we still want to keep a bit of the old style. We do not want to become a hypermodern hotel. There are plenty of them.

I had a wonderful view of the fjord from my window and could lie in bed and watch the boats come and go! The room was well equipped with everything I could need; I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the in-room Nespresso. When I had to complain about some noise in a neighbouring room, staff dealt with it promptly. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of options.

There's almost nowhere else to stay in town but the hotel doesn't rely only on the lack of competition. It's a nice place to stay. Modern, well-equipped rooms, nice and helpful staff, excellent restaurant. Near everything. Be sure to book as early as you can, as Hotel Grand is often full in the summer months.

When you make a mistake, and we try to help you in the best possible way. But then to find out that you have lied about everything. And we say we can't help you, then our employees are told to go to hell and more bad things. This is the worst we have experienced from our guests. Other guests who were around you were completely shocked by your behavior. And said that our staff handled this very well. the only ones who were rude and behaved completely inappropriately here were you. Really hope other hotels don't experience such behavior from guests. Fortunately, we have not experienced this before and hope it never happens again.
