Kiikii is an o.k. motel. The location is not well suited to those without transport. It is not on the beach, also some distance from shops. With lockdown Rarotonga was cutting back on bus services. The staff were pleasant - thanks guys. (just remember not to turn off refrigerators). The pool was cool but nice and clean - rarely used apart from me. The unit I had was 'tired'. It had been recently painted but the paintjob was superficial - door knobs and switchplates had not been removed so the paint dribbled on and over them. The outdoor furniture was flimsy and the hot plate was very rusty. Dog turds around the premises were something to have to be avoided. Thanks

You are, the first to comment on the shops being too far? Bus, we have no control over? The fridge gets turn off, if there is nothing in it? We can only shoo the neighbours dogs away. Spacious room with basic facilities, all I expected for the price. But simple maintenance was poor, hadn't checked electrical appliances working before I arrived, various lights not working. Right at the beach, but users should note this is definitely not accessible for anyone with a physical disability, need footwear that will grip slippery rocks. A great budget spot for the physically mobile.

The Kii Kii Inn & Suites was a reasonably priced motel with great proximity to town. Very friendly courteous staff and comfortable room. Great shower and so happy there was luver windows throughout. Lovely to have a pool on site for a morning dip before heading out to explore. Very basic amenities but everything you possibly could need - who stays in their room all day when you are in paradise? This place felt safe and the staff were very accommodating when I asked for extra towels and accommodation for one extra night. Very close to the road you could barely hear the cars [not much traffic in Raro to be honest] and other guests were very respectful and quiet. I would recommend this place because I felt welcome and safe.

Great place for a good price
Really good place. Lots of room good amenities. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Very easy-going. Only thing is there were some bugs and mice. But when you’re in paradise you shouldn’t be worried too much about your room.

"Punching above its weight"
Nice little place for the 1st built motel in Rarotonga (according to location bio)! Even though it's a bit old (aren't we all getting that way) the staff made up of "slick, "modern" design. Located right on the foreshore protected the reef, we could sit on our verandah and watch the whales swim by. In fact they put on a show on 5 of our 8 days between 3:30pm and 4:30pm, which was perfect with wine time.! Each unit is equipped with a kitchen and crockery, so you can budget your stay with regards to "eating out" at the numerous food locations. Best value, if you like markets more than silver service, are the night markets with a cornucopia of food stalls. The staff we so helpful in fact when we mentioned that one of the hot plate weren't working, within 1 hour the staff members arrived to fix it. Maybe that was just luck? Then, when I mentioned the tap in the bathroom was leaking, withing 1 hour, staff members arrived to replace both taps! Maybe coincidence? finally on the 4th day (at 5pm) I mentioned that the large sliding door on our verandah was a bit hard to open, the next morning at 10:30am, staff arrived to replace the rollers on the door and allow it to slide easily. Why the delay this time? "Had to go into town and wait for the shop to open to get the new rollers"!.. 3rd time proves it!!.. they really try to please IF YOU LET THEM KNOW! They are not mind readers and if you don't mention a problem our need something, they can't help. ..and all with a smile

Our stay at the Kii Kii was amazing. My family really enjoyed it. The hotel was spacious and had everything to cater for us. The staff here are so warm and welcoming. I have been to Rarotonga a few times and this was the first time that staff have gone above and beyond. Hayley at reception is amazing. She found us a car with just one phone call. Managed to get 6 fresh flower head leis made in a short amount of time, that were at a bargain price. All the staff there are so helpful and made our trip one to remember. The facilities are awesome. The area is good location, not too far to town. The rooms are huge with enough space to move around. Great place to stay, would definitely come back again. Keep up the awesomeness Kii Kii

Dated and not very well maintained...
It's a petty - what their father build had a vision, but now the next generation seems just to try to keep it as it was. 1967 is a long time ago and it not enough to use a bit of paint to keep the stuff together. I guess without investing some money this place will be run down soon and no one will book accommodation. There is a lot of competition and a new resort just gets build down the road. We were in the "newer" building on the second floor, which was already better than the rest. Still ants infested and the kitchen cupboard eaten up by wood worms. But otherwise clean - every day new linen and towels.

Everything was amazing except the toilet that could barely flush down the toilet paper. We had 2 rooms and both toilets were the same. Showers were good though and the pool was perfect! Lovely & helpful staff too...

We had a good time at KiiKii
KiiKii was what we expected. It was nice for what we paid. Rarotontga is very laid back and does not have the same standards that we have at home. We just went with the flow. The staff here was excellent, beautiful pool, large room with a complete kitchen. Right on the ocean. Beautiful motel and island.

It fulfilled the brief. Was conveniently near airport for very late/early morning check in. Staff were friendly. Basic but clean. Right under flight path so very noisy as planes took off. Fine for the one night we booked. Wouldn't have wanted to spend more time there.

Excellent value accommodation.
The Kiikii Inn and Suites offered excellent value compared to other accommodation in Rarotonga. We had our own self contained unit with a TV and daily housekeeping. The accommodation was spacious for 2 people.

A quiet location.
Experience island life in this quiet location with friendly locals.. If you want a flash hotel ,sharing with hundreds of other tourists, don't stay here. Established over 40 years ago, bus stops immediately on the road outside, shop 10 minutes walk away. Tip ,since water is not drinkable from the tap, fill up at a water stop, good if you have a hired car. We had a great family time.

extremely affordable hotel with huge rooms.
Kii Kii is a very budget hotel that is comfortable. It has a pool and nice gardens. It is located convieniently just 5 minutes from the main township. Rooms are very large and cool. If you were a family on a budget this place would be ideal. There is however no swimming out beachfront but you could drive or walk around the island to find swimming spots. For one night as we waited for our private accom it was very comfortable. Check in late after midnight was no problem.

Nice motel close to the beach
We had a lovely three night stay. It was great having the pool right outside the suite as well as reight by the beach. Recommendations would be another mirror in the bedroom by the power switch as well as a microwave oven.

I loved it here :)
I absolutely loved staying here! It's pretty basic accommodation, which I personally prefer. It felt quite relaxed Our room was even cleaned each day (except Sunday) which was so thoughtful. The other guests weren't too noisy which was nice. And the staff were so lovely!!!

Budget self catering in the Cooks.
Budget option. For the beaches and main town areas you will need to travel. Accommodation was a little dated but cheap, plenty of room and had everything you need for a self catering stay, inc. a laundry service. Staff were helpful. My lasting memory was that it is unfortunately right under the flight path for the larger jets that fly in at night so was woken one night about 2.30am by the roar of jet engines and just as I had got off to sleep after being startled, I was woken again by some arriving passengers unloading their luggage.

Rarotonga is a small island so depending on the weather, you can hear the plains coming and going at some point from every corner on the island. We are glad that you liked our budget accommodation. The staff @ KiiKii were excellent, very helpful and friendly however the overall impression I had of the facility was akin to a Dulux overhaul, i.e new paint but generally tired. The room was spacious and clean however in the managements haste the cupboards had been painted closed - I accidentaly pulled a cupboard door handle off trying to open it.The power points were double outlets but only one switch worked. After 8 days I still didn't have a functional shower. I left 7 days early for Family reasons at home (NZ) and the owner told me no refund for prepaid accomodation because he'd upgraded me to a $160/nite room. To be honest the $100/nite I paid was poor value for money. I could have paid $150/nite @ Club Rarotonga and had the use of an inhouse restuarant and bar + inhouse entertainment and a working shower. Would definately not reccomend KiiKii Inn. Had to retune tv aerial to get 1 channel of delayed coverage from NZ. I would strongly reccomend spending another $50-60/nite elsewhere. Also no swimmable beach off the Motel front. No BBQ available that I saw even tho it's avertised as such. Facility is not far above a backpackers level of quality. Overall less than happy and would not reccomend or return

Kia Orana! I enjoyed my short stay at KiiKii. Loved the location, check in was great, room was great. A very calm environment feel. The only downfall was that there was no door in bathroom and the power socket near the bed wasn't working. At night, I kept missing the driveway coming from Titikaveka way cos I couldn't see the KiiKii sign until I passed it. My overall rating is 4 out of 5 Meitaki Atupaka.

Basic hotel just good enough to stay for ONE night
Our room had only an old double bed for 2 adults, it hadn't seen a dust mop for ages and the reception lady could have been a touch more friendly. Also the bed had only a linen as a blanket, so we digged out warm clothes for the night. The good side was - the room was quite spacious and we had a fridge. Very noise folks around and close to the main road.

Great accommodation for my budget
I was looking for a low key, close to town but comfortable place. KiiKii ticked all the boxes - it is older and they are slowly upgrading but the basics are all there. It was clean, quiet and for me easily accessible to all I wanted to do. I hired a cruiser bike and rode everywhere. No real swimming but water out in front great for a dip/float which suited me. The pool was pristine. The staff were friendly and efficient. It is on the lower end of the budget but worked for my budget. I would stay again as a solo traveller. It had everything I needed as I made most of my meals. It is as clean as an old motel can be with the wear and tear. I started in an older room at back and got upgraded to a sea view room which they have done up. Recommend if you are on a budget.
