This is part of the confederate memorial area of the cemetery. There was recently vandalism on some of the statues in protest of honoring the confederate soldiers. It's an interesting discussion for sure.
Really neat place to visit. Had a great time brushing up on some NC history.
I love checking out college campuses if I'm visiting a college town!
