"We booked two king rooms and were told at check-in that our rooms were not available because they were given to someone else, so we got queen bed rooms. There was no apology given or anything.
The condition of the rooms left much to be desired. Some amenities were missing, lights were broken and hanging out of the ceiling, and the rooms looked outdated and in major need of renovation. Will not stay here again and won't recommend this place to anyone else."
"I arrived late, around 11. The entire place was dark, construction flags were wrapped around the entire property and there were zero cars on the property. Even the 'OPEN' light was off. I have pictures of all of this. On top of this, they changed the name from Lake Powell Canyon Inn to The Wesley. I rebooked at a nearby hotel, The Knights Inn. Then, Lake Powell still charged me. Thankfully, Hotels.com came to the rescue, but if I had more time, I would file a BBB report. "
"The pool was down for renovations, bummer. The gym worked ok, I had to adjust a lot on the fly but the resistance cable machine D rings that lock on the handles or bar etc were bent and basically welded on, so I could not change out the handles and they were attached at different lengths, so that was really awkward, I made it work but it just needs some pliers to loosen up, or they need to get classic carabiner rings that can be taken off much more easily. There were no yoga pads or anything soft to use on the hard rubber gym floor so I had to use towels to pad my bum in my core workout, and my tailbone was sore for 3 days. The room was relatively clean and the shower was very nice, but I went to war with 3 moths that I had to take out, not a good sign. I turned the air off but the unit kept buzzing all night long, I could not figure out how to get the noise to stop, it was quite annoying and way worse than a gentle white noise, it woke me up about 30 minutes before my alarm was going to go off, it was so loud, that needs to be fixed. Lastly my TV would not go below 14 volume - maybe set up that way on purpose because of the messed up crazy loud air unit, but I like to set a sleep timer and fall asleep with the TV on, but the air and TV were so loud that I ended up with pillows wrapped around my ears. I will bring earplugs next time I stay there if I ever have to stay there again, should have paid a little more and stayed at a Hilton. Not terrible but not likely to return."
"The stay was okay but linen weren’t that great and doesn’t have equipment to iron your clothes which generally basics in motels, very decent for a cheaper price"
