Founded October 3, 1887 in Tallahassee Fl. on the former Highwood plantation, Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) sits atop some of the highest hills in the state of Florida and overlook the capital city through a mix of towering palms and majestic, Spanish moss laden, Live Oak trees.
