Bath has separate switch for bath fan Annoying when you turn on the bath lights and the noisy fan comes on so appreciate the separate switches here

Everything was very accessible and we were literally just there to sleep. The place was very close to the road which was a downside as I can hear every truck pass by even late at night. The walls were quite thin too so can hear folks move and talk around us. Other than that, it was comfortable enough with basic amenities handy for a short stay.

Great little motel to stay at! Sound did travel through the walls quite easily (both from other rooms and outside) but i was still able to get to sleep quickly. Very friendly staff. (No fan in the bathroom, so moisture builds up quick if the shower is used.) Beds were comfortable. Overall a great place to stay!

Unfortunately this reservation is non refundable. After booking you are told check in is across the street (actually a main highway used to divert traffic off the Trans Canada highway currently) While the staff are friendly, this is a bit obnoxious, especially on a non-refundable reservation.

I really enjoyed my stay. The balcony was a great touch and the staff was very helpful with anything I needed. The price was reasonable also. I would definitely stay there again.

We arrived at 11:30 to the Alpen. Everything was good. Only thing that was a bit of a hassle was we had to go across the street to a different motel to check in.

Good motel in Radium
The motel is in a good location on the way up the hill to the hot springs. It is in good condition with a few exceptions like a non GFI in the bathroom right behind the sink. We did have to go across the street to the Apple Tree to check in, which was no big deal. Would stay here again.

The room was very clean and more spacious than I thought it would be. It had limited plug-ins - an issue when we travel with a couple of medical devices and cell phones. We were surprised to learn that check-in occurs at the hotel across the road, but the clerk was attentive and it caused minimal issues.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. We were concerned about the state of the place based on how it looked outside, but we were pleasantly surprised. Until we realized that the place was infested with huge ants. There were always ants crawling around the bathroom and between the beds, which was not pleasant. We would kill two and three more would come in their place!! If they could address the ant issue, this would be a place I would book over and over.
