"Bardonecchia is a ski resort, so accomodations are mostly ski lodges. Do not expect any large hotel chains here. We were here for 5 nights in June and had a great time. Location is close to train station and to the main street where you can find lots of restsurants. The views are amazing and did lots of walks. This felt like a very special place to stay with my husband and 4 year old son. It was a real mountain adventure and we hadn’t realised just how close the small village centres would be. We were treated to an extra surprise when there was live music in the village on the Friday night as we had a wonderful meal. Alpin d’home has thought about everything and all the small touches made it feel like a luxury stay. We would love to stay again.

I stayed here many years ago when it was The Florida Prata. The standard of the rooms today as K2 is a huge improvement on the old hotel; ours was very nice, comfortable and quiet. I didn't eat in the hotel, but the bar is always lively and the staff are great. The hotel's location is ideal, right in the centre of the village. One thing lacking is the availability of an iron for guests' use. It seems, though, that this is a common issue in Sauze and in Italian hotels generally.
