Best accommodation!
The owner of hotel(Monique) she’s very nice!! The room that we stayed also cozy! Me and my husband are happy to stay there! The location is also amazing! It takes less 10min to waterfall. In front of hotel there is IGA and Bruner is next block! I strongly recommend this hotel. It’s the best accommodations in Quebec city!

What a lovely neighbourhood, and also close to Montmorency Falls (across the street) and the bridge to Ile d'Orléans. But it was also quick and say to drive into Quebec City! Monique was so warm and welcoming, and breakfast was superb. The amenities couldn't have been more comfortable or attractive!

I made some very last minute travel plans and was looking for a place to stay. I will admit I did not look very hard when I came across the place (a little less than a week before the trip). When we arrived, we were given a tour of the property and any other information we might need. During our first morning breakfast, we were originally a little nervous, as it was our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast outside the USA. However, our nervousness quickly disappeared as we started talking with the owner (thank you for listening to us for so long). She was very easy to talk with and helpful with any questions we had. She is very friendly, receptive, kind, helpful, and organized. The B&B is kept very clean. There is a common area where guests can sit, as well as a fridge and a microwave if needed. Breakfast was delicious. If staying here, visiting Montmorency Falls is a must. You can easily work over in less than ten minutes and there is an amazing view. I would definitely stay here again next time I come to Quebec.

Very nice B&B located in a colonial-style home. Very clean and cozy, with pleasant owners. The location is close to many attractions in the Quebec City area. Our only criticism is the lack of sound proofing in the rooms. Very satisfied overall.

I'd return in a heart beat!
This was easy to find. The host gave us great information and directed us to a wonderful resterant for dinner. The breakfast was great and the hostess was very friendly and warm. Had a good stay.

The owner of the property was extremely accommodating: she even suggested that we left our car on her property while we visited the Montmorency Falls to avoid paying parking fees. The room was a nice size, with en-suite, clean and neat, and the breakfast was delicious. I would go again and would definitely recommend it to other travellers.

The location to the falls is excellent, we were able to park our car & walk to the falls. The IGA across the street provided a place to pick up a quick dinner, and we ate it out on the back deck of this property when a rain & wind came up. Ebo, Monquies husband pulled the plastic covers close around the porch and we were able to eat our dinner. The Calla Room is very clean, and the breakfast with homemade pastries was excellent! We enjoyed the fresh fruit, and the bread & pastries. And it was fun to share the table with the other visitors, meeting people from Germany. We are looking at calendars for a return visit!

Reasonable accommodations close to Quebec City
We stayed in a large room with a full bathroom and it was spotless! You can see the river from the window and the bridge to the Isle of Orleans is just a few minutes away. The breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and home made jam and it was very centrally located. Monique speaks English.

Characterful gite
Lovely characterful property in a perfect location for visiting Quebec City. Room Calla is very spacious, with plenty of seating, a large TV, a storage area and a big ensuite shower room. Spotlessly clean. Friendly host and very tasty breakfast complete with homemade bread. All in all, an excellent visit.

It was very clean. The location is good. Only a few miles away from the falls and about 15 minutes to Old Quebec City - very easy drive. Reasonable rates, friendly & helpful owners who speak both French & English. We’re glad we stayed at this B&B!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Au Gite de la Chute. The free parking was easy, our basement room and ensuite (Cerise) were clean and spacious. The wifi worked well. It was handy having the large supermarket just across the road with a groovy little restaurant on the mezzanine level. The Montmarency falls are just a five minute walk away, where you can also catch the regular 800 bus directly into the city. Most importantly Monique and Ebu were great hosts. Breakfasts were delicious with homemade bread and muffins, eggs, yoghurts, a selection of spreads, tea, coffee, fruits and juices. We would happily rebook if we were ever in this region again.

Our host was extremely gracious. Her home was perfectly located (we visited Old Quebec which was only minutes away and Montmorency Falls which was in walking distance). The breakfast was delicious and the company of other guests a true delight. We will definitely come back.

Warm, inviting, and fully bilingual B&B stay
My husand, James, and I stayed at this lovely, warm and inviting Bed & Breakfast for three nights as we were there to visit his aunt and enjoy a little sightseeing during the Canada Day long weekend. The hosts, Monique and Ebu, are an absolute delight and they will make you feel like an adopted member of their family. Their B&B is affordable, with large beds, lovely decor, handy fridge and microwave at the side entrance to use. They serve a delicious breakfast including eggs with homemade breads, scones, muffins, butter, jams, jelly and Nutella. They are within walking distance of gorgeous sightseeing including breathtaking waterfalls that are a must see! They offer free maps and will tell you the best places to eat/visit. Monique is fully bilingual (French and English), so you're in good hands with either language. We originally booked to stay for two nights, but decided to stay an extra night, and when we asked, Monique gave us an extra night in a different room, and the transition was seemless. If you visit Quebec, we highly recommend staying at Au Gîte de la Chute (In the Shelter of Fall). Trust and believe you will not be disappointed! An added bonus is you get to meet some other wonderful guests travelling from other parts of the world as you eat breakfast together, which is a rare treat. In this instance, we met Johann and Sabrina from Germany. Thanks for a wonderful stay that made our Canada Day long weekend extra special.

Overall, our stay at Au Gîte de la Chute was great. Because of this particular location, we could visit a beautiful fall and go to Quebec City back and forth (by car) with ease. The service was very kind, and we would love to use the place again if we revisit the city.
