My husand, James, and I stayed at this lovely, warm and inviting Bed & Breakfast for three nights as we were there to visit his aunt and enjoy a little sightseeing during the Canada Day long weekend.
The hosts, Monique and Ebu, are an absolute delight and they will make you feel like an adopted member of their family. Their B&B is affordable, with large beds, lovely decor, handy fridge and microwave at the side entrance to use. They serve a delicious breakfast including eggs with homemade breads, scones, muffins, butter, jams, jelly and Nutella. They are within walking distance of gorgeous sightseeing including breathtaking waterfalls that are a must see! They offer free maps and will tell you the best places to eat/visit. Monique is fully bilingual (French and English), so you're in good hands with either language. We originally booked to stay for two nights, but decided to stay an extra night, and when we asked, Monique gave us an extra night in a different room, and the transition was seemless. If you visit Quebec, we highly recommend staying at Au Gîte de la Chute (In the Shelter of Fall). Trust and believe you will not be disappointed! An added bonus is you get to meet some other wonderful guests travelling from other parts of the world as you eat breakfast together, which is a rare treat. In this instance, we met Johann and Sabrina from Germany. Thanks for a wonderful stay that made our Canada Day long weekend extra special.
