"This was a six fay trip for me with the aim of relaxing and recharging and the Romanos luxury hotel was the perfect place to do so. The service from beginning to end was faultless, the room was immaculate with a balcony that gave me the perfect place to view stunning sunsets. As for the food, there were so many choices but all as delicious as each other. I am coming back with my family in august for two and a half weeks and cannot wait. Be it a solo trip or a family one, this is the place to come! "

"We always enjoy staying here. I was disappointed at a dinner at the Italian restaurant. We ate there twice. The first time the staff was pleasant and kind and we had a great time. I am Greek so was able to order and communicate in Greek. The second time my husband went with our 3 boys. They do not speak Greek so the waiter decided to charge them 4 times the original price for bread. I realized that when I went to meet them at the restaurant and looked at their bill. The waiter was surprised we caught the error and went to go tell a lady behind the cash. As he approached her they both laughed while they fixed the mistake. Very very disappointing. We love the resort but all it takes is one dishonest employee to change your opinion about something. "

"Our room was light and airy, modern and finished to a high standard with a small kitchenette. The kitchen was suitable for light meals but the lack of space for preparation meant it wouldn’t be ideal if you wanted to fully self-cater. The breakfast selection was good. The bed was very comfortable and the modern bathroom had an excellent shower. We had a large balcony with views across the fields to the castle. The pool was a real bonus. It was a 15 minute walk to the town, restaurants and main beach, which was fine in the evenings but we were glad to have our car in the heat of the day. Everything was beautifully looked after and we would recommend it to others."

"A great week at a great new(ish) resort! We loved popping into Gialova for dinner most nights and the hotel concierge happily arranged reservations and a taxi. Just 10 euros each way if you don’t want to walk. Highly recommend Anama, Elia and Kochili Fish in particular. Overall very good service and lovely friendly staff with a few very minor exceptions. A few small teaks could make this even better. More wait staff able to take orders at breakfast and pool, more local affordable shops including a pharmacy, slightly lower price point for pool side drinks and food and watersports. Spa massages were excellent!"

"Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous pool and beach area. Breakfast was delicious, with coffee of choice, if you wanted to order something special. Myself, I just like a strong black coffee which I helped myself to. The view from my balcony of the sea and mountain was especially soothing and peaceful. Staff were friendly and readily available to answer any questions. Great restaurants within minutes on the beach and all had excellent seafood. love grilled calamari and that was readily available at all. There are mini markets within a 5 minute walk if you want to pick up extra beer or wine. I arrived from Athens on the express bus (3hrs)and from the Kalamata bus station caught the bus that goes along the beach which dropped me off just past the hotel entrance. Cost was 1.5 euro, took about 25 mins. Kalamata is so peaceful, Horizon blue is a laid back and wonderful hotel. "
