I was excited to visit this all inclusive resort. My husband and I have visited a Melia resort before (a paradisus resort) and had a fantastic experience. The resort overall was “nice” looking. The food was mediocre, the beach was off property. The staff was absolutely terrible, we came across many rude staff members and it made the stay so unpleasant. The resort has some ridiculous rules and at times asking for things was like pulling teeth. The first issue with these suites were that the hotel gave us a difficult time to have our swim ups to eachother (although the hotel was EMPTY). we had “swim up master suites” and the first day were told we could not order drinks to our room to drink in our swim ups. The next day I decided to ask again and lo and behold, we were able to. It just seemed like it depended who you would ask for things throughout the resort. Also, was given a hard time returning towels. My name had to be written on a paper and they wouldn’t accept my towels in the pool that were previously taken from the beach (mind you they were the same towels). This stay was lower than mediocre. If save your money and visit a paradisus, perhaps they more attentive to their clientele. We did however come across one woman named Carmen that helped us on the beach and back at our rooms. Amazing service and attentive to us, loved her job.

The common area, the rooms were all impeccable, the hotel was very nice. We had a swim-up room and I loved it. The towels in the room, they were always in very good condition, the bar at the room was included and they refilled once a day. I did not like the reservation restaurants the food was not good at all like the buffet was better but it was just like it was ok. In the information sent by expedia to the mail it says that check out is at 2:00 pm but upon arrival they informed us that it was at 12:00 pm, but at 11:45 pm they knocked on the door for cleaning (We did not ask for), I explained to the Ma'am, we weren't ready yet to give me a few minutes, then at 11:50 pm a man arrived for suitcases (We did not ask for), in the same way I asked him for a few minutes since we were finished picking up and at 12:10 they knocked again looking for the suitcases, it was like if they were pushing us out of the room.

La suite fue batante amplia y comoda, la habitacio esta pensada en el comfort del invitado. Sin embargo el jacuzzi estaba sucio y no era un area que limpiaban en cada visita. El servicio del personal fue muy empatico y amable, si con sus excepciones sobretodo en los restaurantes. La comida en general es lo mas promedio de este resort, no hay variedad y no es muy buena, es mas bien todo average, no es un lugar al que vas por la comida. El entretenimiento fue regular tambien, si vas con un grupo grande tu mismo haces tu diversion. katmandu es definitivamente un plus dentro de la oferta del hotel, pero solo tiene 6 atracciones disponibles que puedes visitar una vez cada una y en 2 horas ya haz hecho todo, porque no habian filas de espera ni nada. Un plus fue que en este fin de semana no se sentia crowded apesar de que es un resort relativamente pequeno y eso mismo te da la comodidad de caminar entre las habitaciones y el lobby/ centro del hotel, sin problema varias veces en el dia. Si para ir a la playa o katmandu debes esperar un tranporte que esta disponible todo el dia y no hay que esperar tanto entre cada viaje. El parque de agua para ninos fue interesante, sobretodo para ninos entre 2 y 12 anios, se pueden pasar todo el dia ahi.

We liked this property. Food was above average for an all inclusive. Service was great, everyone was friendly. Did not like the pressure of going to a sales presentation tho. It was nice but probably going to stay at a resort on the beach that’s all adult next time.
