I loved the fact it was not busy and you can walk down to the beach and there is a restaurant next door. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and had basic amenities. I was not able to use my Netflix or Hulu account on TV but there were English channels and I was there mainly for the beach. I will back next year or in November if I have extra money and paid time off.

Property is trying to be good with what looks like a limited budget. Still needs plenty of work in the rooms somethings don’t work properly ie; toaster, balcony slider, some lights, safe, pull out bed mattress etc… things that could be rectified. Check in was not a good experience because even though I booked a bigger room to accommodate five people my reservation (said for two not sure how) I ended getting further up charged $109 usd for the two nights and moved to a different room. Felt like it wasn’t necessary and a total money grab. If your on foot nothing is close enough or suitable for walking, so you end up paying further $$$ to taxi everywhere. A hotel shuttle service that went into town once a day for an hr would be a great upgrade. For what I ended up paying I have done far better elsewhere, for that reason won’t be back. Big shoutout however to manager Jason in the restaurant, very helpful.

The only complaint I have is the room service people left the door of the room unlocked after checking the room and leaving a survey while we were out. Anyone could have stole our belongings.

The property looks like its new and undated like a "resort" but when you get into the rooms its like a motel from the early 90's the paint and dressers need updated all water warp and broken . The pant looks like a slum lord painting over things like flies and such. The hall ways Echoes so you can hear everything like if you had the door wide open.

Great stay! Beautiful beach! Security at pool was nice. Felt very safe. Pool bar and bartender were excellent. Food and service next door at restaurant were impeccable. Will definitely stay here again!

Property was beautiful. Hot tub was hot and the beers were cold. Rooms and resort were very clean. Only complaint is the pillows weren't so great and the mattress was hard. Ocean access and view made it all worth it.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times before and it has been great, and I still like this hotel a lot but the room we stayed this last visit the mattress was awful, the mattress really needs to be replaced it was sunk on one side and Not comfortable at all besides that is still love this hotel And I will definitely be staying at this hotel again. This was the only time I've had this incident happen here at this hotel again.

The beds were uncomfortable / hard , could not get a good night's rest. The elevator broke multiple times a day leaving us to get a ground floor room for my elderly parents. The wheelchair access ramp for the beach had an 18 inch drop-off to the sand making it unusable for my parents. When we asked for a refund to be able to go to a different hotel they told us no refunds.

The male receptionist at the check in desk was very discourteous and actually lied to us. I called and talked to both an Expedia rep as well as the front desk at Playa Bonita a week before arrival to request a room on the 3rd or 4th floor since I felt safer in an upper floor (both my girl friend and I are women.). The clerk said that no upper floor units were available which was a lie since that night I went out to looked and a lot of the upper story units were dark and unoccupied and the parking lot was almost empty. He told me that they will give me an 'upgrade' with a micro-fridge in it. That was also false because all the units are equipped with micro-fridge. This experience colored my whole stay at the resort.

We had a beautiful stay. The resort was immaculate and met all of our needs. The only negative thing I could say is that we had a couple of family members at a different hotel that came to visit us and security followed them around and told them they couldn’t stay even to talk to us for five minutes. That was embarrassing.

Love this place but feel I was taken advantage of
It’s always a great time , I’m a bit disappointed I made the booking for 2 queen beds which should sleep 4 I brought my adult daughters. When I arrived I was charged an additional 300.00 when I told them. I paid then checked on line. The price was the same for 2 or 4. As much as I have always enjoyed my vacations here I feel I was taken advantage of.

Stay clear of this hotel 1st I was given a non partial sea view, then an employee opened our room door after I told her I’d be coming next we were threatened to have the cops called due to us playing music in our room in addition to a vape around my husbands neck. That was unnecessary there’s ways of speaking to people and just giving a heads up nicely to correct the volume playing. In addition to that they are very strict I will not return.

Terrible customer service.
My stay was normal until the second night, like always. I very often have a problem with my room key deactivating on the second night. I always have to go down and request them to reset my key and they always blame the deactivation on me and refuse to apologize or accept any responsibility. I told them this one time and they said do not put it in wallet. I went again and they said it has to be alone. On this occasion I had it alone in my pocket and they told me the key has to be in the little envelope that they give it inside. I went up and the key would not open door. I was locked out and was told that I would have to wait to when their maintenance person comes and it could be up to an hour. When they open it, I would have to wait for them to fix it or I can stay in my room understanding that I cannot come and go as I please. I asked for a different room and both rooms that they offered were also defective. After about an hour, they opened my room and it was just past midnight, so I said I would stay in my room. In the morning I went down to check out and the person did apologize and was very nice but said they couldn’t do anything for my troubles.

The outdoor patio amd pool areas are right on the beach! The rooms are very clean and comfortable amd the restaurant is one of my favorites in Rocky Point.
